beware of elizabeth davis/joannegr12@cox.net Hi I posted an ad at Petsell.com wanting a yorkie puppy and a woman name Elizabeth davis responded. My husband and I spoke to her by phone and we believed her because she provided us with an address and phone number that registered in our caller ID under her name. We transferred the money via western union and once she got it she never answered her phone or responded to our email....I am not her only victim, check out the forum in nextdaypets.com, she scammed ppl that were looking for pugs, yorkies and bulldog. She is located somewhere in San Diego, Ca....... Has anyone ever really gotten a puppy from her, please let me know....Look out for this person and relay this message to ppl who wants a deal on puppies... Anybody who knows this person please contact me..... senbal2005@aol.com |

I cant believe people are actually that mean as to scam from others like that. Is anyone doing anything about her. |
Did you call the San Diego Police Department? You should do that ASAP. They will be able to point you in the right direction. |
The reality just sank in today when I actually saw posting of the scam at nextdaypets.com. I did contact San Diego police but the detective or department dealing with this issue was close for the weekend...I've contacted IFCC, Petsell, Puppyfind, NextdayPets, cox.net, and ofcourse yorkietalk....Please spread the word...watch out for joannegr12@cox.net and the name Elizabeth Davis...She likes to answer ads... |
Senbal, Im sorry you got scam like that. I hope you get this resolve and get your money back. Contact the San Diego ASPCA and the Ploice Dept as soon as possible. Thank you for warning us about this horrible scammer. |
I was told that there's an investigation from Washington to San Diego. I recently spoke to a victim here in Virginia also, so, I figure she's done it to ppl across the country....I will be contacting the Ct atty general this Monday to see what he can do. She is located in San Diego, Ca..She cashes out her money in the area and gives different addresses around the area.... If I can get more ppl that she scammed to actually call San Diego Police maybe they'll seriously look into it. This woman has been using the same email for her transactions she's gotta be registered with her real name and ss somewhere... Anyway beware and inform ppl... Thanks |
that is just so messed up! :mad:i hope that she gets caught, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you send her? |
Wow sorry to hear about that. OMG  something similar almost happened to me and my boyfriend!!! We put in an ad in my local newspaper which also does it online to sell our motorcycle and some guy emailed us saying he was interested in the bike and wasn't in the country, he said he was in London at the time and wanted our bank info so that he could bank wire the money to us and he would have his "representative" come and pick up the bike. That sounded fishy to my boyfriend so he said no he didn't feel confortable to relay that type of info over email and since he would be having his rep pick up the bike why not have his rep bring along a cashier's check with him. Of course the guy never emailed back and my boyfriend did some internet searching and come to find out that it's a scam that people have been doing to get your bank info. When he tried to email the guy again to tell him he had contacted the authorities and yahoo on him(the guy had a yahoo email acct) the guy had already deleted the acct and moved on to prob another unsuspecting victim. :( |
Holy crap, that\'s terrible!!! Did you contact the Better Business Bureau? I hope she/they get caught ASAP! |
I\'d report it to the people right away. |
You POOR thing - you MAY one day get your money back IF they can catch and prosecute her - but that is just TERRIBLE and I feel so sorry for you that this happened - one more reason I could never deal with the internet breeders - I know some people have great luck but this happens ALOT also.... |
We sent her $600. My husband thought something seemed fishy and was reluctant to use Western Union, but my daughter and I was so excited that he just couldn\'t say no. From May 30th to June 1st my daughter and I were just jumping for joy not realizing what was happening. We patiently waited for an email or phone call about the puppy\'s flight that never came....I feel very sad for my daughter, the puppy was supposed to be a birthday present for her, see she turned 6 on May 12 and we\'ve been searching for about 3 months now for a reasonable priced female yorkie, but still no luck. This is a very embarassing and heart breaking experience for us....We\'re still looking, for a beautiful yorkie puppy, maybe we\'ll get lucky. Anyway, we will be pursuing this case, what ever we need to do..... |

thats awful!! i hope they catch her!! and i\'m sorry that happened to you!! |
