Yikes how awful...

I recently have been sent several emails from persons out of the country asking to purchase my dogs saying they will have their representitive pick the pup up and in turn they will provide me with a cashiers check...

I had read about the scam so I didnt respond to any of the solicitation.

NEVER accept a cashiers check !!!! when selling anything there are many counterfit ones out there and far to many scams to keep up with...

one email stated their rep would pic up the pup bringing $3000 cashiers check and if I would be kind enough to give the overpaid balance to their person in cash. For they were in the congo on business and could not pic up the pup themself! That one I wrote back and said NICE TRY!

GO FOR IT! GET THE *#@$*! I cant even describe how much I hate that woman.

I live in CT..I have not contacted the CT general ATTy yet, this just happened 5 days ago, and we did not really realize it until Friday that we were not getting our puppy...

The San Diego police, I believe, can do something about this woman but might be too lazy to..I spoke to one of her victims from Virginia and asked her what address Elizabeth Davis had given to her when she was scammed, I mapquest the address and it was only 5 miles away from the address she had given to me. She's in San Diego and the authorities need to set her up, period. Western Union should help out also, since they know the exact locations where she picks up her money, who know's maybe she picks it up in one location..................Western Union told me that they need to be subpoena to release the location where my money was picked up....Well that just stinks!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, she sure rubs it in on ppls faces buy being still around answering ads, posting ads wanting to buy a puppy, using the same email and making us victims think that she is untouchable.

A few months back I was e-mailed several times by someone "overseas" who was an "American" trying to find an AKC registered dog for a client of hers. First she just wanted an AKC puppy then my whole litter. I responded to her e-mails a couple of times then finally just told her that if she wanted a puppy she would need to send the money and I would hold the pup until everything cleared. Needless to say I never heard from her again. She was talking about how she was desperate to find an AKC registered dog- never referred specifically to a Yorkie just AKC. I thought that was weird because there are lots of other AKC registered dogs that cost a lot less than a Yorkie. The whole thing was fishy!!!!

That happened to us with German Shorthaired Pointers. The second person that tried that on us, I told them, "I don't know what kind of scam you're running, but I am NOT interested." Never heard from them again!

This site tells you who to notify if you're the victim of an Internet scam. It also says never use Western Union and the reasons why.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, I have checked so search engines and so far came up with two names, should I find any other info, I will post it.

hi i'm a new user and i was reading through the threads and i almost wanted to pass out when i saw this thread. On may 9 Elizabeth Davis sent me 3 emails b/c she was replying to my email from next day pets. She told me she would give me a discount if i sent her money western union but, i decided to not to buy the dog from her b/c i didnt want the dog shipped, and that i already found another breeder.She called me back asking me where this breeder was and what guarantees did she give me and alot of other personal questions, which i ignored, i told her that i would call her back if i changed my mind and i would use the number on my caller id. she said no let me go ahead and give u a 1-800 number. i wrote it down and she gave me the name susan.

i am so glad that i decided not to buy a yorkie from her and that i went with a different person but i still got scammed by the other person i bought a dog from.

You got scammed anyway??? That sucks! I personally do not like next day pets. There was another person (male) whom I had read was a scammer and he also advertized on there. :thumbdown

i did get scammed but it was my fault for being ignorant. i bought my yorkie from a lady in san antonio who said she needed my name and address and i would recieve the registration papers in 4 to 6 weeks. when i called her to make sure she got all my info and if the registration was sent i was told i never bought a dog from her. she acted like she didnt know who i was and what was going on and she said she doesnt breed yorkies so i must have the wrong number. :omg: but atleast i got a cutey out of it. my baby is adorable registered or not. :tongue:

There are a lot of people out there scamming, and not always for money! I got had big time. Answered an ad about yorkie mixes and was told they all had homes but she had a female yorkie pup that shoe would let me have for $250, sent a pic of her brother. Then I got an email saying the momma wouldn't feed the pup and she had to go on a bottle and this woman (Annie) was going out of town so would I like to go ahead and get her and care for her myself. I said sure, arranged to meet. Emailed back, said cat killed pup but she had a stud puppy, sent pic, arranged meeting. Emailed back said pregnant daughter killed in CA crash would have someone else meet me with pup. Waited 2 hours never showed up. Emailed again saying house was broken into and pup was stolen. Started researching, pics were stolen, no such person. I don't know why someone would do that, I had just lost my little girl and was already heartbroken, then she strung me along with pups that didn't exist. I still have faith though, she couldn't take that away from me!
