HELP! Is this possible?
 
HELP!:eek: 72 days ago I hired a stud for one of my Yorkies and another female winked;) at him and he got her, (I didn't know she was in heat) I took & put her away. The Stud left the nest day. 9 days later MY male (who I thought was too young) got her 3 times that I know of. Anyway, 62 days after the Stud got her she had 3 puppies (which was on 4-19) Then to my surprize:eek: TODAY, 9 days later she has another puppy:questione . Could this of really happened, Getting pregnant from 2 different males and delivering each one separately? HELP ME PLEASE!

you said your young male got her three times that you know of. may i ask why you didn't separate them after the first time?

Wow, how interesting. I had read that different males could sire different pups in one season, but never heard of such a long time between pups being born. I'm interested to hear what the wise ones say. Good luck, and take care of those sweet puppies. ;)

I seperated her from the first stud because I didn't want to breed her with him. The 2nd stud "mine" I had purchased because he IS the one I wanted to use on her so I aloud them to mate,

When you have a female that you want bred, you take her to the studs house, and control the breeding and have someone else help hold and keep them quiet after they tie so as not to cause any injuries. I'm sorry, but it doesn't sound like your a responsible breeder. It's evident you have never done any homework on breeding. My suggestion to you would be to spay and neuter your dogs.

12 years of breeding AKC Yorkies for your info and never had this happen before. i also have healthy females and don't breed every cycle, and none of my Yorkies have ever had a c_section or lost a puppy. I'd like to see how many breeders out there can say that!:p

Could someone please address the question asked??? I think it's interesting, and I know I'd like to learn from it. Less judging, more teaching!!!

Sometimes people jump to conclusions, just let it slide. I know that pups can be sired by several fathers but usually one that is conceived that much later is born too early and dies. I would say you have a little miracle there, a very special pup! You may have to dna test them to correctly identify that sire though before you can register your litter.

It was remarks like that that lead me to leave "Yorkie Talk" years ago. I just came back in hopes that thing would of changed. Thanks for your support on the matter.:bravo:

I sure would dna them to see if it was a miracle or not. I don't know if this is possible but I guess with the 9 days difference in mating then in 9 days difference in whelping it sure seems feesible doesn't it. So I checked with a breeder friend whos been breeding Yorkie's well over 40 years now who says its rare but she has heard of it happening before.

Yes. I'm lucky, MY STUD has already been DNA'd so it wont be too hard& it's funny you said "a little miracle" cause thats what I'm calling her "Miracle" .:lovewings

thank you for posting the website. I just had to see those "teacups and micro minis" i don't think I have ever seen such tiny babies but they are beautiful to look at.

Just thought I'd show all of you this little Miracle I'm talking about. Miracle is the little one on the left which was born today & the larger one is one of her 3 sisters which were born 9 days ago.[ATTACH]:ghug: [/ATTACH]

....and by the way, well said to those of you who are also sick of what comes across as breeding snobbery that goes on these days all over this forum....I have been saying as much on other threads.....I hate to see people frightened away....it's so sad.....we all have so much goodness to share, we should all be kind and helpful, and if we disagree, then say it in a way that can't possibly offend;) It's easy to jump in after misreading situations, we have all done it, but we should try not to:thumbup:

You should be ashamed breeding those tiny tiny babies, I am just appalled and sick for those poor little girls.

I'm sorry but maybe you should re-read "Yorkshire Terrier History" posted at AKC.ORG. This is there Quote "The earliest record of a Yorkshire Terrier born in the United States dates to 1872. Classes for the breed have been offered at all shows since 1878. Early shows divided the classes by weight - under 5 pounds and 5 pounds and over. Size, however, soon settled down to an average of between 3 and 7 pounds" My breeding females are between 4&5 lbs. (AKC Standards) Inorder to keep my puppy's Adult weight not to exceed the 7lb mark. All I can think of your bad remarks is that you must use females above the AKC Standard limit of 7lbs like many greedy breeder do, inorder to produce large litters for profit and nothing more.:thumbdown

My Breeding Females are between 4&5 lbs (AKC Standards) The labeling (T-Cup, Micro Mini) are turms used to describe the size of the Puppy because it fits in a T-cup, Thought everyone knew that.

My "bad remarks" stemmed not from me being a breeder but for me having a love for dogs. You state on YOUR WEBSITE that your upcoming litter is from your " micro mini" (whatever the heck that is) but I bet it is smaller than your "teacup" at 3 3/4 lbs!!

Maybe your site needs correcting then because I read that Gabriella is micro mini and Lady Kathryn is 3 3/4 pounds! They are your breeding females are they not?? Misprint???


I am not a novice to the term teacup.... It is a term breeders use as a ploy to sell pups!
