| Coat Color Question????? Can a puppy's head break gold after 14 weeks? Even if their is no sign of color change on the top of his head now?I have a puppy born January 17, 2007. He is 14 weeks old. His color has not changed since birth, just a little more gold. His head is black and his ears are gold at the base (a small amount), the back of his ears are gold at the edges. The coloring on his legs are gold. All of my other puppies have changed their colors. The vet and groomer thought he was the pick of the litter. I tried to attach a picture. Thanks for your advice. | I'm not a breeder and don't know much about coloring, but 14 weeks sounds too young to guess his coloring!! I'm sure someone here will be able to help you!! |

| I think it's too early to tell. Their colors can change for a long time. Someone else may have better opinions here... |

| Here's the link to a great thread that explains color change and growth chart. (Lol, at least the best that colors can be guess when they are puppies.): http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16045
