Oh Jeez... I'm not sure I should be reading some of these posts...!!! I'm the proud Grandma of Bo, a 2 and a half year old Yorkie (pic to come soon). Her mom and I had her bred exactly four weeks ago today (she had a sleepover at her boyfriend Titi's pad... LOL). Not sure if it's taken, although she does seem to be getting a little "rounder"... To be sure, the wait is killing me. Is it too soon for an x-ray? Or does anyone know if they do ultrasounds? If she is whelping, we plan on keeping one of the pups and giving another to my other daughter (if she has more than one - it is, after all, her first pregnancy) But honestly, I hope she has no more than two, 'cause I don't think I could bear to part with the other pups... :( Isn't it crazy how attached you get to these little critters... Linda |
Has Tiffany had her babies yet? |

Ultra$$$ound...!!! I called my vet today. They don't have the necessary equipment to do ultrasounds. So they referred me to one of those upper scale animal hospitals. I just got off the phone with the tech there... 150$...!!! Is that the price everywhere? Or are they like mechanics...? If you don't know anything about this kind of stuff, you get ripped off...??? If that's the going price, of course, I'll pay it... but I think I just might wait a couple of weeks longer... sheesh, I'm not even sure she's pregnant!! You recently went through this with your lil'one, Dee. What kind of a procedure is it? How long does it take?? |
Oh, and by the way, Dee... How are your girls doing? I hope they're all O.K....!!! |
Any news for us Dee about your little girlys?? Dawn |
Shopped around...! Hi again, Here's an update on the ultrasound issue. After getting that "quote" for $150 from that fancy hospital I was telling you about, I started thinking: the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from our local university has a "teaching hospital" in a small town about 40 miles from where I live. I called last night and guess what? $80...!! I think I'll drive the extra 30 miles... ;) Guess you gotta pay for all that high-tech equipment they have in those fancy places, huh...? ;-) Not to mention the designer cages and food bowls and the Feng Shui interior decoration and all the rest... LOL Anyways, I made an appointment for June 1st. She should then be at 52 days, so I decided to get an X-ray instead. Oh, I so hope she's pregnant...!!! And now, I'll have to wait till then to find out for sure... :( |
Good luck dark star on the xray, im sure you cant wait till 1june. Keep us updated na. |
Well if the breeding took (which i am just darn sure it did) we are at day 15...her whole attitude has changed she is much more loving and less hyper and for once in her life she has an appetite |
