That probably is for the best. :) I think I need to learn a martial art or something, take my frustration out some place beside the internet. One day I'll figure out this whole "wisdom" thing, seems you have it down pat!

i just read the whole post again. i did not see where anyone was rude. everyone seemed very concerned about the mommy and getting her to the vet. not one person jumped down her throat for the accident that occurred.
most everyone said to her to get her to the vet. although this is not was the person asked....she asked how much can she sell them for$$$$$$$$$$$$ but of course, us here at yorkie talk are very concerned and took the extra steps to let her know the well being of her yorkie is at stake. it appeared she was not concerned at all but now she will hopefull do the right thing and take the mommy to the vet. she may have been so inexperienced she did not know her mommy was at risk. but now she does.
this is all i have to say and will leave it alone.

Just to let you all know, I think i'm a newbie... and I'm totally glad i read this as I would not have known to only breed a smaller dog with a female even though I've always read in the "yorkies for sale" area that the dad's were always smaller than the mom's... well, now i know why!!

I just wanted to say thank you, cuz i definitely lurk more than i post... thanks for the info!!

Just saw your age.....not to say that there is no wisdom in the young, but if memory serves me correctly (that goes with time too) at 21 I was ready to take on the world when it pertained to a subject matter that I was passionate about. After awhile you learn to pick your debates.

The internet is a useful tool. But, what we all tend to forget is that all of us aren't cookie cutter humans. Everyone communicates in a different manner and the internet doesn't allow you to see a person's face when you are communicating over a machine.

The other thing is when asking for advice, be careful what you wish for, or are you just asking to find someone that will agree with you (I find that this is the case most requests). As someone told me "If your looking for a 57 Chevy, if you look hard enough you'll find it, but it's gonna cost you"

A little more to it than just breeding a smaller male to a female....you must know what's behind the dog you're using to stud....in other words you should be familiar with every dog in his pedigree.

LOL, trust me, i'm not trying to breed.. :p but i read some of the posts about people that lurk more than they post, and I'm definitely one of those people... and i'm sure one of the other lurkers will want to breed... i'm just not one of them... i considered it for a couple days, until i found out my parent's dog has a lump on her lower breast close to her genital area... and the vet says this could have been prevented had she had been spayed... so i'll be getting my little girl spayed as soon as she's ready... she's only 4 months, so soon...

At this point I think all the really matters opinions set aside is the welfare and well being of that poor female. I hope she did the right thing for her little girl!! I'm not going to bash her or anyone else for making mistakes. I'm not perfect and cannot walk on water. I will pray for her girls health!!

Debbie I am thinking that is your name I am quoting my first post to let you know I still feel this way. I really hope that all works out and the vet can help your worries. Please don't feel everyone here is being rude or slamming you most are just really passionate about the breed and breeding. Like I said before, accidents happen and The only concern should be for your little female even at 8 pounds she will have a VERY hard time giving birth to the bigger pups. And Yes it could kill her. Now say she had a accidental breedding with a 6 pound chi oops but they would not be as worried because of the size match. I hope that kinda explaines what I mean and most others would feel the same.

Its one of those if you dont have anything nice to say then dont say it at all and thats what Im doing.

People are saying I am being too picky in finding the right home for a breeding girl I am selling. Now everyone can see why. I am extremely careful of any home I let my girls go to.

This is why all my pups go spay/nueter.....Even if I had an adult to place (which I hope I never will) they wouldn't go before I spay or nuetered them.

Accidents do happen, and it doesnt make a person a bad breeder or person

designer dogs are very popular right now, but i think its just a fad, and that there are so many people trying to create there own designer dog that it putting large volumes of puppies out there which is competion for the purebreds (jmo) and i could be wrong, but this is some of the talk i have gotten from breeders (this is not meant to start a argument or debate, so please dont take it that way, just adding my $.02):rolleyes:

I agree- good post! Why are there so many harsh comments all over this site?

I happened to see your other posts & you seem to be zoning in on the few threads with some drama - there's WAY More to this site than the comments you keep referring to - you haven't been here long enough to know how many truly caring people post here...

This site has a million posts on it - 99% of them are not negative and with this many people, it stands to reason there'll be differening opinions and posting styles. Why not give people the benefit of the doubt ? While some word things in ways you don't agree with - I'd bet money their heart's are in the right place when they spoke. Visit other dog sites...this one is way less controversial than some I've seen ...
