I would abort this litter. You don't want to do anything to hurt or kill your female.

I understand what you mean. Of course, you will find those out for a quick buck whether you are talking about mixes or pure bred dogs. However, with 'designer dogs' I feel as if some people are taking the 'easy way out.' Ideally, when you are breeding a recognized breed, your goal is to try to find two dogs that meet the breed standard as closely as possible and breed them with hopes that the ofrspring they create are an even better representation of the breed--you judge what you've done based on what was created. When you are crossbreeding to create designer dogs, there is no emphasis on starting out with a good dog because there is no standard to compare the resulting pups to. Why pick well bred stock? Who cares what the offspring look like? Who's going to know if something 'went wrong?'

He is to big to breed with your Yorkie, please take her to the vet and get a morning after pill.

I have 3 mixes myself, but don't plan to purchase anymore because I just don't want to support it... but regardless.. I think that if you're going to leave your female unspayed and breed her that it is your unwavering duty to make sure that no other males can get to her while she is in heat. If an accident DOES happen, which I'm not saying we're perfect here.. the only right thing to do would be to do what is in the best interest of her yorkie female.

Breeding is such a serious responsibility and I feel that a responsible breeder would know that there's no such breed as a yorkimo and wouldn't even ask. They would already know what to do, just my opinion.

A tie is not necessary for the mating to be successful. Contact your vet, you may have put your female's life in jeopardy.

Sounds like she is PG with these pups. The reason you do not hear about american eskimo mixed with a yorkie, is because usually the dogs are adults and makes it a little harder to mate - size wise and good thing. You have a puppy eskimo and made this to be possible. Any pups from this breeding will most likely kill your female yorkie. Anyone see a balloon pop? Questioned answered.
I am glad you are taking her to the vet today and getting her help. Best of luck to you and her. Recommendation - just have her spayed and enjoy her love, loyality, and friendship.

In total agreement with you. But, when dogs are concerned; where there is a will there is a way. Years ago, before I knew better, I had a Toy Poodle that wasn't nuetered, he did stud with an Old English Sheep Dog, and they did have puppies....how it happened I don't know, I didn't witness it. The Old English Sheep Dog belonged to my girlfriend and the 2 played together all the time. Because of the size difference we never dreamed a mating was possible.

Oh, my Mardelin. I am just trying to picture this. I guess you learn something new everyday. I was a vet tech years ago and never had this while I was there. But I guess where there is a will - there is a way.

Hmmmm.. Since the pup weighs 15 pounds now - you know an adult weighs a lot more - soooo triple and guad-triple the weight comparison now.

I do hope you decide to take the advise given....we have so many puppies being born these days and that kind of \'mix\' sure doesn\'t sound good ....If it were another small breed it would be different but you\'re talking about a much bigger dog than a yorkie..

I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST and dont want to sound rude but money should NOT be the motivator here....your pets life should be the key concern. For her sake I hope it didn\'t take.

This tread has me heart broken, the only concern on everyone\'s part should be that of the little yorkie mommy and keep all other opinions to themselves!
