| Not Feeling The Puppies Move:2wks To Go hey everyone, i have a question. I have always been able to feel the puppies move around with all of my past litters when we have about three weeks to go. my little girl is due in two weeks (big as a house i might add) and i cannot feel any of the puppies moving around. i can feel the sacks and there are about 4. Is this common?

| Have you called your vet and asked them yet? I would maybe take her in for a check up. Or if you have a stethoscope there try listening for heartbeats?

| i quess that is what i need to do. she hates the vets so much when she is pregnant, i was trying to avoid that. i hate to see her so upset when she is ready to deliver.

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I would try to listen to the heartbeats and if it was really concerning me I'd have an ultra sound, that way you'd see them moving and see the heartbeats and know for sure. I'm sure everything is fine though....good luck and please keep us posted! |

| i think i will take her to the vet. i am not sure if it is too soon to feel the puppies (but her last two litters, it was easy and i could see them move) maybe it is to early for this litter. my vet doesn't like to do ultra sounds or xrays on mommy's to be, i have never demanded for them to do it. do you think if i tell them this is what i want, they will do it?

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I've had both done and I think the ultra sound is not stressful for them at all. I was in the room and held her and he ran it over her belly. With an xray you wouldn't see them moving anyways, but an ultra sound you see them move and see the hearts beat. The xray is more accurate to determine how many pups there are, the ultra sound isn't. If I was concerned I'd ask them to do it or call around to other vets who do it. |

| Well you know I was having the same problem with my girl, couldnt feel anything. Well last nite she was lying on my lap, I had both hands around her tummy and what do you no, I could feel so much movement, as this is my first litter i was so excited. Im getting quite nervous now as she is due Saturday. I have been lighting candles and saying a little prayer that all goes smoothly for her. |
