AKC Glitch She said she would have to be the one who mails it in. I would think as you said ,since it is my pup I Should be the one to mail it in. I asked her if my Vet. should administer the test and she said no. Just swab, label, package and return to her. Makes no sense to send to her. |

Good Luck, oh and she is willing to give you 2/3 of your money back, that seems like a bunch of money.. Do you trust her? |
:) After this mix-up, no, I don't. I want to trust her, but I am having probs. I am hoping she means well, she seems like a nice person. I would like to think requesting the DNA pkg. be returned to her would facilitate matters and that is her reasoning for wanting it sent to her. I think the other new owner is sending hers to the breeder. The breeder did tell me it would take approx. 3 wks after AKC received the samples to get an answer. She seems Knowledgable ab caring. The frantic concern about the male is making me nervous though. Also the owner who purchased two other pups was supposed to get one AKC pup and one APR pup, she has two AKC pups. |
DNA swabs have been sent off. I will know in 6-8 weeks. No matter what, I will always love my Uma. |

You'll probably know before then.....but at least you'll know..... |
update The breeder called yesterday. She said Uma was DNA'd, but now the AKC wants an additional sum to find paternity. The breeder said they did not use to charge an additional amount for paternity. Anyone know anything about this new practice? |
I dont know the real answer to the question but my opinion is you shouldnt have to pay anything more for someone elses screw up. I think the breeder should have to pay it. Its not your fault someone else registered their dog wrong etc. |
