I didn't mean to rile you. I don't blame your for changing your mind. I'm just saying by accepting the check, you formed a contract, agreeing to hold this puppy for them and not to sell it to anyone else. So if they wanted to be nasty about it they would have a pretty strong case. I agree with you, I wouldn't want to sell it to them either. But courts tend not to see things as black and white. There is a lot of grey inbetween. If I gave a deposit to someone for a puppy, and I have, i would be extremely upset if they turned around and said they changed their mind. What else is the deposit for if not to make the contract binding. |

I am glad you decided to keep your pup and wait for a suitable home. From what I read it doesn't sound like they are financially able/committed to care for a Yorkie. I believe you acted in the best interest of the pup!! Congratulations and now you can sleep peacefully!!! ;) |
return their deposit and tell them you don't have time for someone who doesn't have time for a puppy. the poor dog would surely suffer if they can't even take time to get supplies and get her i think your feelings are right...or you could just tell them you decided to keep her for yourself. |
I agree with everyone else......... Quote:
Kelly, in all honesty, I don't think they were ready for this pup. I am sure there are other homes who are ;) Bobbi, may need a sister soon.............and guess where I am coming to? (Well, if you still consider me of course) :p P.S. I was so freaken excited before I got Bobbi. I had a laundry list of stuff.........I must have driven you nuts with all my questions.......right? :D Hugs, Jess |

ANd I appreciate the view, it makes me think. Ive never did this before. I dont make a habit of disappointing people. THey might be afraid to ask for the deposit, or even releived in the long run, even though they said dont sell the puppy. I dont have a formal contract but an angel must have been sitting on my shoulder because I looked thru my emails and I stated the deposit term in writing which I stated I could return the deposit for any reason to them, which I rarely do, usually I just say it verbal. So maybe that would be good enough because they agreed to those terms when they replied with "we are sending a deposit. " I think they might be mad at me, but I dont think they will try to sue me. I think they might just move on to buy from someone else. But who knows! ANd jessica Miss RN, when your ready let me know you will get the best deal in town girlfriend!:D YOu stinker. Thanks. Oh ANd I love the pictures! ANd yes you still drive me coo coo! BUt you know I love it! |

I don't think they have a leg to stand on either. Refund the money & be done with them.:) |

I grew up in foster care......... Maybe sometimes I am over-protective.........but it makes me happy to be able to give them all my love. I am a true believer that God put them here to humble us humans and to me, they are nothing but Lord's special gift ;) |

SHes very sweet, weighs 2 lbs 12 ozs at 13 weeks. SHe isnt AKC registered, this litter was CKC (continental kennel club) Dad is AKC but mom isnt. THought Id let you see the heart stealer. Theres lots of pictures. |
That is unfortunate, but I agree with your decision to return the deposit and be done with it. For the future, I think it should have been a 'red flag' to you when YOU made the phone calls to stay in touch with them. That should never be necessary for any breeder to have to 'go to' the customer. If they don't call or e-mail you regularly, then assume that they are not really that interested and go elsewhere immediately! |

If they havent even bought food for the baby, they probably havent bought anything for her. I'm pretty sure they have have enough time to prepare for the "big day" ... to put up a "puppy nursery" i'm sure anyone of us, live to the day we can bring them home, and have everything set out for them. I would NOT let her go to them, give them their deposit back, for your own peace of mind. If i were you, i wouldnt even bother to call them, just send the check back to them, and be done. Good luck. |
Kelly, she is a DOLL  Just givin' some people yorkie fever aren't you  :p Jess |
Beautiful pup |

she is adorable!!! |
your little pup is ADORABLE!!!!! deserves to go to a GREAT home!!!! |
She is SO cute! The person that gets to call her their fur kid will be a VERY lucky one! |
so how did it go? Did the people get mad because you decided not to sell? |
Im very happy to report this little lady went home with a terrific older couple who will adore her. Their yorkie had passed a year ago and they were ready to welcome a new puppy now. I feel very good about this home. Well about the people who I changed my mind about, Im yet to ever hear from them. The last phone call I made to them the day they were supposed to come get little girl and I had waited hours, they said they would call the first of the week about getting her. A week has passed and I have never heard from them again. ??????? They sent their deposit Western Union, which is the way they wanted to send it. I never use western union but thats the way they wanted to deposit. I dont have an address for them. I do have a phone number. I thought , well I decided to wait for them to call like they said they would and tell them then I couldnt go thru with the exchange and get their address and send back their deposit. No phone call. No email. SO I still have their deposit. If they call Ill still send it back. I guess I have a little bitty attitude about this. |

Yes Im so glad about her placement!! Her name is Fiona now.:) I wanted to see if the previous people would call on their own. Nothing so far. If they call I would still send back the deposit. Very strange. |
That is wonderful!! So glad little Fiona found a great forever home! :) |
