Tell him your brother wants to check out the puppy for you...see what he says then... However...I would step back....DEFINATELY sounds like a scam to me. I agree with Villette....If it sounds to good to be true!!! It probably is! |
I just received an email from him: "YOU ARE NOT RESPONDING TO ME" What else does he want from me? I am not sending him any money, I am not interested in the puppy if there is one... |
These scamming ads have been in our papers in Montana, also. They seem to all have a theme of you rescuing the dog from a situation. Their english is always suspect. They always want money "just for the shipping". Somehow religion or them working overseas in a humanitarian field is common. I think we should work them to death by asking hundreds of questions, and making their scamming job even more difficult. Unfortunately, it must be working for them because they are too common... |

I have sent numerous email 'questioning' every little thing I can think of. He responds to some of what I ask but not all, his english and spelling is poor. I did report him to the place his ad was published, doesn't seem to make a difference to them. I will block him but not quite yet, I want to see what else he has to say... |
Yes, it is to bad that it doesn't make a difference to the people selling the ad space in the newspapers. It angers me that more can't be done as to investigating them and putting a stop to it. When I figured out someone I had been corresponding with was a scammer I did write a quite lengthy e-mail on what I thought of them and even some stuff on how some associates of mine were investigating scammers and how I had obtained his phone number. That was the last I heard from them.........hmmm.........wonder why?? |
I did get another email from "Eric" in West Virginia, a while ago wanting to know why I am so mean, not to give this rescued puppy a good home and why don't I trust him? I wrote him back saying my husband refused to let me do business with someone who can't answer a question with a straight answer, and was most likely a scam artist. I told him I was doing business with someone else who was honest and had integrity. Using my husband as an excuse with people like him usually has them leaving me alone. I really shouldn't hear from him again. I really feel that there has to be something that can be done.......I need to do some investigating in this a bit more. Michele |
Well, just with that reply that he made makes me think that he is a scam artist. I would just continue looking for another furbaby. This does not smell good. Good Luck |
I agree, I just wanted to 'save' a puppy. I am going to wait until the first of the year to start looking for a yorkie puppy. Michele & Bailey:aimeeyork |
Scam scam scam!! |
It has scam written all over it... |
Someone on here, not that long ago, (can't remember her name) went back and forth with a scam artist...They said they were from Nigeria...you should look up her post...it was quite interesting....I wouldn't even THINK about buying a puppy from this person....they are going to take your money and run! then you will be left without your puppy and your money.. |
