Here is Tiah's big belly....she is due on the 21st but will probably have them on the 18th. Soooo......3 days to go!!!!! Cowboy is the daddy. I'll attach a picture I took of him yesterday. The other picture is of Britt and Tiah yesterday. I have kept most of Tiah's hair cut off for the Summer months and will let it grow after the pups are born. My mother-in-law actually had a healthy pup strangle in the Mamma's long hair. I also have Tiah's belly cleared of hair and ready for nursing:) .

Can't wait to here news of the babies arrival. Do you know how many pups there are? Thanks for the warning about the long hair, I've never heard of that happening and I'm one of these that it kills to shave the hair just around the nipples, but you're right it will grow back. I knew the hair was messy and an inconvenience, but didn't realize it could be a health threat!

Glad I could forewarn you. That wasn't the only time I heard of it happening. Actually my MIL knew it was a hazard too and actually had her female cut back....only leaving the hair long on the chest/neck area. That is where the little pup went to snuggle and ended up dying. So very sad. I didn't get Tiah x-rayed, but gosh, she looks like she could have 6-7 pups. I was going to take her, but the x-rays are usually off....they usually say "we can see 3, but there could be more". Not very helpful when it is making sure there isn't a retained one that worries me so much. She is doing great or I would reconsider it. It will be Cowboy's first litter. I haven't had a litter in a year and a half and am soooo excited!!!

How is Trixie? I was so very nervous about Tiah's belly being bigger than ever until I saw Trixie's belly....their belly's look VERY similar to me.

She's hanging in there...kind of waddling alot. The past few days I noticed that she hasn't been able to 'hold it' as well and I've really had to start watching for signs that she's gotta go rather than her letting someone know.:rolleyes:
Shaved her belly a few days ago, so you can see it really well now. I will take a pic or two when I get home and post them...or beg V to if I can't figure out how.:( :rolleyes:
Tiah, from the looks of the pics, is still smaller than she is from the looks of it. And we still have a week left!:eek:
