hey hun mine are 3 weeks they were born on the 18th of august no regular food hasnt been given yet bur they have started licking...the last i weighed them they were about 8 oz being the heaviest the rest are 7 1/2 oz

also they pee and are starting to poo by themselves and i read that this wasnt normal..why isnt this normal???

I, personally, would only test the Mom. I think a vet will charge you for each sample.

is there anyway that the mom doesnt have it and one of the pups has it bc they were with the father also he doesnt have worms anymore but like someon stated that if they lick there paws then the pups could get it through a simple kiss

I guess it is possible, but with the intimate contact of Moms and babies doubtful. If one has it, they all do. The greatest risk is going to come from the Mom herself that is why I test the Mom. Even though you are handfeeding it is very possible they got worms during gestation especially if you have never had your Mom tested or regularly dewormed.

From what I remember, your post said pooing and peeing on themselves, not by theirselves :)
Usually the books say they don't start performing this (without stimulation) until 3 weeks, I guess you have advanced puppies!;)

Of couse, this would be considered normal, but peeing on themselves would not.

yeah i thought it was on themselves but now they come out of their kennel and pee and go back in and i stimulate them and when i put them down they go poo on ther own...they opened their eyes early and are licking already

is it oki to give the pups nutri cal??? i gave my girl a lil today bc she got very weak and it seemed to wake her up a little with some water...but i will watch her through the night and take her to the vet 2moro..her tongue is also light pink does this mean anything? :animal-pa

oops mine were born same day 1 month earlier:D :D

my mom didnt have worms and was on prevenative but my pupppies had worms. yikes! i read that is the eggs stay dormant in the mom till stress then they can get release into the milk. i would test the puppies poop. it was like $7.50 per test at my vet

i brought the poo in today so il get results tomorrow i dont know how much he charges

is mom doing better??? would you breed her again??? someone said they would try one more time but if she needed another c section then no more. your puppies starting to walk?? wait till they start crying at 4 am they are just like human babies
