Zaylee's Maternity Ward 2 Attachment(s) Ok, in response to wanting us all to post about our upcoming litters I thought I would go ahead and be the first to start ours on Zaylee. Before breeding we had our vet look over Mommy to be and make sure everything was a go ahead for her and Daddy gets around a little so he already had his pre-screening (lol) Let's see.... parents names: Gizmo Sebastion Baley of Eng and Zaylee Allison of Aria weights: Gizmo @ 4 1/5lbs and Zaylee @ 5lbs ages, Gizmo 2 1/2 and Zaylee 1 1/2 due dates, August 11th is the first due date - although with the first litters I have found that they are later so I am thinking up to a week after this due date No big changes as of yet for us. Mommy is a LOT more clingy, wants to lay with me and not just one the back of the couch. We have had a little throwing up and she has lost a little weight and I don't like that at all. She is now 4lbs 12oz, but our vet states that everything is going well so far. Yes, I am one of those people that call the vet for EVERYTHING! LOL I have posted photos of both Mom and Dad below and will update as things go along :) We have our fingers crossed all will go great!! |
GOOD LUCK ZAYLEE!!! What beautiful puppies you will have! The parents are just GoRgEoUs!! |
They are such a good looking pair. Good luck on the litter. |
Wow, both mom and dad are gorgeous! The babies are going to be beautiful! |
What a good looking pair! Thanks for starting your thread! I just finished mine and will keep it updated as we progress. Your babies are just beautiful! Dori had been curled in my lap since I started 45 mins ago and will not budge. Been very clingly also. Yogi just sighs and looks at me like " guess I'll just have to be on the back burner for now", when I try and sneak some kisses from him, she barks and snaps at him. She's never never done this before....preg. hormones:confused: been there done that LOL! |
Thank you all! We think they are a good looking pair too :) I'm soooo excited. I hope all goes well and our fingers are crossed that she is expecting....it's a little too early in the game to know for sure! Although, our x-ray is set up for Aug 5th @ 1pm!!!! |
YEAH! We now see a bump! She has a little belly started...so exciting :) Her sides have also thickened a little. That's all for now. |
How exciting!!! |
Those are going to be some beautiful puppies!! |
anything new happening? the parents will make gorgeous babies! i made one of these threads for my cousins yorkie. keep us updated! |
1 Attachment(s) Here is a photo of Zaylee's belly!! Yeah! She is even starting to waddle a little now. It's just soooo cute! :) |
Oh, how adorable! She is about 10 days ahead of Dori, she is due week of Aug. 21st. Is that right? Zaylee's tummy is quite a bit bigger than Dori, but don't tell Zaylee, you know how sensitive preg. moms can be about their size;) . Is she doing well? She looks great. |

I see your a Michigander as well! I plan to breed my two Yorkies within the next year. My boy is only 6 months right now though. My girl is 11 months. I'm excited to have found this Forum with so many people from Michigan. Keep us posted on those pups and mom !!! |
New Photos! 2 Attachment(s) Here is Zaylee not even a full week after her last photos. She is getting VERY VERY large :) We are getting more and more excited :) :) |
Wendy, How exciting!!! I cannot wait to see them. I am sure they will be adorable. Are you going to have her xrayed to see how many? P.S. Loved the pictures of Paris. Hope Savannah is as cute. Actually she is turning out beautiful. |

Is this her first litter? They are such a beautiful pair!! I can't wait to see how many she is having! |
Glad to hear about your expected new babies. Our Roxie is expecting on August 22nd (63 days). This is her 2nd litter. Her first litter was 6 very healthy puppies, 4 boys and 2 girls. Roxie had an ultrasound today and she will be having 7 puppies this time! Poor girl! Another interesting note...the sire is a pomaranian. NOT PLANNED! Little sucker got in the backyard where Roxie and Coco (Roxie's sister) were playing. OOPS! Our vet says the puppies look good and healthy and are an appropriate size which was my biggest fear! Anyway, we are expecting "Porkies." The vet says that they will be gorgeous! Wish us luck!! Cherie and Roxie |

Well we went to the vet on Saturday. Zaylee has only two puppies and we had to schedule a c-section because they are too large for her to have. We are hoping that all goes well and we will have puppies this Friday! |
omg! wow, im exciting and nerve recking! im sure all will be ok! i will be praying for you, momma, and the pups! :aimeeyork  :goodluck: :hands: :hearts-xx |
Yes, I am very worried as we have never had to go through a c-section before!! I am so worried.....milk coming in, her wanting to care for them everything! |
I just read your post. I shall pray that all goes well for her c-section. So thank-ful for x-rays. She and you will not have to go through labor and the end result. Please keep up posted on how she does this week. Bless her, she looks quite large in your last pic, but adorable! |
i sure hope that everything goes ok for your babies and your mommy too |
New update!! The vet changed their minds and we now have to wait until she goes into labor before they will do the c-section. My guess is it will happen at the ER then! :( I called down the road from me to get a price $650-850. WOWSER! |
Wendy, So sorry to hear that she may need a c-section. Is this her first litter? You may be surprised that once she goes into labor she may be able to have the pups naturally. I was told it is extremely hard to know from an xray only as the exact depth and diameter of the pelvis is not exact. It will also stretch alittle as she labors and the head passes. Sophie is only about 4.5 lbs and the one puppy she had was close to 8 oz. His head was huge and she passed it like a champ. Just make sure you are going to be around when she goes into labor. I will pray all goes well and she has them naturally. Good Luck!! |
breeding is not a cheap hobby. thats why I say most breeders ( true breeders not byb) dont even break even with all the costs on the bitch and the puppies |
She will not be left alone at all that's for sure. I have been checking her temp and nothing yet :( or course she has a while left. The vet said there is NO way the puppies will come out by themselves. I saw them and they are very very large! Poor Zaylee - I have my fingers crossed! :) |
Gosh Wendy, I am sorry to hear that. Has she ever had pups before? I wonder if it is because she is only having 2 that they got so big or if it is all genetics. |
