| ![]() Yes, that’s her. She is 1year and 5 months old now, nor more cough thanks God! I bought her from Puppy Boutique 8002 17th Ave. Brooklyn, N.Y. (from my own experience I don’t recommend to buy from them), from the first day I bout her, she already had a cough, and it was getting worst and worst every day, I spend few more thousands $ for all kind of tests, and vet., she was not eating and drinking anything for few days at all, she was in the hospital getting shots and IV medication, I thought I’m going to lose her, but she’s my girl, she made it!! I love Yorkies, now I have two, I bought another boy from Europe with an excellent pedigree, and if my girl is going to have a puppies, maybe I’ll keep another one for myself. ![]() |

| ![]() I am very glad that she has recovered and is doing well, but sorry to hear that you chose to breed her knowing that she came from a puppy mill in MO, so you can have no idea of any genetic problems she may be carrying as recessive traits. I wish you the best of luck on the health of the litter.

4 things there that usually point to a mill...1. pet store(most dogs in pet stores come from mills) 2. DRA( Dog Registry Of America) 3. USDA( large scale operation) 4. MO( one of the worst states for mills) If I am wrong in this assumption, I apologize and am very glad to hear it.

| ![]() Sylvan, yes I bought her in a pet store, it was my mistake, because I don’t know the breeder and I don’t know her parents, and if it’s true that she came from a puppy mills or not., but my little girl was tested for genetic defects in a vet. office before I breed her, and both of my dog had a test for Brucellosis. I was reading a lot of information before I decided to breed her, and I keep reading more and more about Yorkies. In your previous post I feel like you trying to show people like you know a lot, and others don’t know anything. I’m sorry if I’m rude, I’m not saying that I know more than you do, but please don’t put other people down. I’m not trying to make money of this, because this is the only first and last time when my dog is going to have a puppies (maybe), and I don’t see something is wrong with this I love my dogs more than anything else in the world! I’m already have two Yorkies boy and a girl, they both my gods, and if my girl is pregnant, I’m going to keep another puppy for myself, and if she’ll have more than one puppy I’ll give the rest to my family. |

| ![]() Steve, It sounds like you did have the proper testing done and are doing your best to bring healthy pups into this world. There are no guarantees, no matter where you purchase your puppy that it is not going to have defects, genetic or otherwise. I've bought from very expensive knowledgeable breeders and have had problems, and I've bought from those with less knowledge them myself without problems so I don't think it is fair your puppy should be criticized just because she came from a questionable place. I wouldn't expect show dogs, but I think there are plenty of quality homes for our less than perfect Yorkies. |

| ![]() Steve, I am not trying to put you down. I appreciate that you have done some reading, there is always more to learn for all of us. Yes, the vet can check for genetic problems that she HAS, but not for what she may be carrying as recessive that may show up in the pups. This is why it is VERY important to know the health background of the pedigree, which is impossible in a mill pup. Everyone makes mistakes and you didn't know about the hazards of buying from a pet store when you got your girl and you paid heavily for yours, not just in money, but in worry and care. I am truly glad she has turned out to be so well and happy and loved. Many breeders would question using a pet shop dog for breeding to prevent the heartache of a sick pup being produced. I sincerely hope that this litter turns out well with no problems, but I would hope that you will do more research on recessive genetics before you consider breeding her again..and be responsible in insisting that the pups produced be spay/neutered. I did not suggest you were doing this for money. It is difficult to break even financially with the expenses involved when breeding. I know I don't. best of luck to you.
