| how long Kitty is due to have puppies today. This will be her third litter. Both times before she delivered her pups 3 days early. Today is 63 days from the only tie (only mating) and she is eating as normal. She has been panting off and on all day followed by nervous yawning (which she has done before with the on set of labor) but she has never ate the same day she was going to have puppies. Her temp. dropped early this morning to 98.3 but by this afternoon it was back up to 99.9. Should I be worried? How long can they carry their pups and still not have complications?

| Gestation length for a dog is 63 days from OVULATION, not necessarily from mating date so counting 63 days from first tie is always an estimation only.

| My vet is going out of town this weekend and since Kitty was overdue and had a c-section before we felt that it was best just to take the pups c-section. I didn't like the other vet that did her c-section before so I chose to have it done before my vet left. She was spayed today too.
