:confused: i thought i read once that you can use human preg testers for puppies??? is this ture?? and if so, is it the same for the ovalation testers??

Um, that would be a no. Pregnancy tests are designed to react to variances in female hormones...which are obviously different in dogs. Would be nice though... :rolleyes:

Getting them to pee on the stick would be quite a trick though ;) Btw, the dollar store now carries pregnancy tests....I never trusted the ones that cost 10 bucks, do ya think I'd believe the $1 one??? :eek:

I know it's an old tread but WHO CARES, right!!! Where I work (Family Dollar, great first job, but I'm quitting tomorrow...YAY) the test are $4 and we sell them about every couple days. I look at them and think 'Are you serious?' I would go to a doctor at fear of getting a test that turns out being wrong and looking wrong in front of fam. and friends... And if I do get a test I might get the most recommended by docs, not the cheapest....

Very $$ - why not just do an ultrasound? I know you have to wait a bit longer, but then you get to see them and their heartbeats if they are there!!

I purchased these tests just to try them. Mine came in a box of 5. They do work, however, by the time they can detect pregnancy, an experienced vet should be able to palpate and feel the little "pearls" (pups).

I didn't go back to the link but you get 4 or 5 for almost $100. That's crazy!

Hmmm...maybe Dollar General can come up with a generic one!:D
