| Spotting - how long? I have a question for you experienced breeders. My female is about 9 weeks postpartum and she still spots just a bit. It's not bright red colored and it's not really noticeable. Sometimes I notice a bit on her bedding. I think it's normal but I thought I would ask. |

| Some have a discharge like that for that period of time. If you think it does'nt lessen with time have your vet check her.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'd be curious what this answer is too....Is 9 weeks normal ? I didn't see any breeders answer this yet so I thought I'd help you and bump this up for them to see ....in case they missed it.... |

| Thanks Vilette. I have talked to my vet and he says not to worry. I have just come to realize that alot of breeders on YT know more than my vet. I'm not putting down my vet, I trust him very much. But he doesn't spend the amount of time whelping and caring for new moms as we breeders do! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I so agree with you...if you ever get in a situation and need someone asap here....you can also pm them.....If I were breeding I'd probably drive everyone insane lol - but they really do have a world of experience behind them.... That's good that it's normal for her to be doing this...one less thing to worry about right ? |

| Yep, I'm not worried - more just curious I guess. It doesn't seem to be an issue that any of my breeding books address. |

| Trixie spotted on and off again until about 10 weeks after her pups. Very minimally. Probably wouldn't have notice if I hadn't been looking for it. |
