Oh goodness, THOSE PANTIES! I know about those all too well. I found out they didn't work a long time ago. Well, first off you will need to take her in to the vet for an overall exam. You need to have her on the best quality food you can buy. You will want to switch her over to puppy food when she has a few weeks or so to go. It has been my experience that the due date is 63 days from the date of the first tie (meaning the day they "did it") Now this didn't hold true with my recent litter, she did go a few days early. You will need to gather up things along the way that you will need when whelp time comes. There is a thread for the contents of a whelping kit and I will find that for you and post it on this thread.

They said that they cant tell anything on an xray until 45 days which will be the 23rd of this month so I asked being that a Bichon is a small-medium breed would she be ok to do it naturally or should I just plan on a csection. In tears by this point and the vet assured me that we would get her all taken care of and she'd be fine. we wont know for sure until the xrays so its gonna be a long 22 days for me

Good luck...you've come to the right place to learn. Yeah, I don't trust the panties...or the males...at all. They are sneaky and will always find a way!

Pom These things happen..do you want your pom to have a litter, if not, she can be spayed now with no harm to her. Best of Luck

How large is the Pom? If she is one of the smaller ones, I would give serious consideration to having her spayed NOW...the Bichon puppies I have seen pics of were larger than any Pom or Yorkie I have seen. If you have decided to allow her to whelp, the X-ray after 7 weeks will be of huge importance to you...
