The dogs ears need to be taped up. if you are concerned about pulling the hair wrap a thin piece of gauze pad around the ear first and then tape. If you do not tape them they will prolly not stay up on their own. Sometimes even when they are already up they fall during teething but still need taping. |
I noticed that some one on here also commented on her only having Yorkies. Things aren't always as they seem. There are a lot of breeders out there that breed tons of different dogs, and have a separate web site for each breed. A local breeder here "Appletail Yorkies" also breeds a ton of other kinds of dogs, and on each of their web sites they make it sound as if that was the only type of dog they raise. One way to check this out is to go to Puppydogweb.com and go to your state (or the state your purchasing a dog from) and see if that breeder is listed. then scroll through all of the other breeds and check the phone numbers and see if the same number is listed under other breeds. The name won't be the same. Appletail Yorkies is also Holly hock Havanese and Precious Pappions (or something like that) and not to mention anyother names they may go buy. |
There are tons of people on here that have puppies for sale. We are expecting two litters this month from our two girls. I would love to sell you one for a lot less than $2000. I don't have a web site set up yet (I'm not sure I'll get one, we will probably only have two litters a year), but I'm sure that most of the people on here have pups just as cute at these. |
I agree Anna, you can find yorkies for less than $2,000. It's a touchy area when you have been ripped off or purchased a very sick pup from someone and you see another person interested in buying from that person. I don't think anyone was attacking anyone in this post. I got ripped off from a guy in FL with 30 other people. My pup didn't die but many others did, and we all had vet big vet bills. Some had vet bills of $2,400 and the pup still died. It was all very heartbreaking !! His web site looked great and the pups were darling. 7 of us thought we had bought the pup named Fendi. He said he was the breeder, they had AKC papers, he sent pictures of the parents, health guarantees, vet checked, etc. When I picked up my tiny pup that was supposed to be 11 wks ( yeah right , he was about 6 wks!) at the airport he just STUNK like blood and poop. He was sooo sick and coughing and bloody stool, but he made it thank God! We all worked on getting this guy put out of business for 1 1/2 yrs. We found out he was gettin the pups from Brazil ( and found the breeder in Brazil) , false vet health certs. for shipping, no AKC papers ( akc had never heard of him) pup were to young to ship, and never callled anyone back, same picture of the parents sent to the 30 of us, I could go on and on. It wasn't about the $$ it was about these poor pups that were so, so sick and getting him shut down! Nobody seemed to care and we kept on bugging the police, lemon law( thats a joke) FBI, the airline that shipped all these sick pups, and FINALLY he is jail for fraud and selling sick pups, to name a few. :D We all get our $13.73 check each month from the Flordia corrections Dept. ;) I thought I had asked the right questions and his web was so nice. Live and learn. Sorry this was so long. I can't stop when I get thinking about all this. I guess we would all have to agree that get proof of what is promised in writing, and if something seems " not right", RUN! |

All I can say is if it LOOKS like a puppymill (or broker), smells like a puppymill (maybe not litterally) chances are, it is one.. anyone popping out that many puppies, and charging that much for each puppy, making that much of an advertising "tadoo" about it, and trying to make it like some "upper class yuppy adoption tea party" type thing is obviously trying to make a living to support HER "upper class" way of living on the backs of yorkies...Yucko.. there are plenty of other yorkie pups to choose from from reputible breeders, honestly even though some of them were decently cute, most of them looked like they were going to be platinum by the time they were a year old...and who knows what genetic defects were floating around in there. You can do much better...and probably for a lot less money! Bottom line: IF you're a breeder, and you're MAKING MONEY..you're doing something WRONG. |
Well I bought one from Country Home yorkies and questioned all the things she did but didn;t know any better I loved the puppy and was willing to pay whatever for her and I mean more than $2000.00 call me DUMB !!! If I look back I see know but at the time you fall for the moment I have a write mind to send her an nasty email but for what, I love the puppy and she is doing fine now anyway. For the money I paid she should be calling me everyday to see how she is, since she was so small when I got her and she was so worried (she says anyway). That what gets me didn't even respond to my email. |
