With help from The HSUS, (HUMANE SOCIETY of the UNITED STATES) obtain information about registration and breeder. File a consumer complaint with the state attorney general Contact the local Better Business Bureau, & follow through with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (which enforces the Animal Welfare Act) to ensure that the breeder's facility is was inspected. You are one of many many people who have been sold sick or dying puppies. I feel SO SO BAD for ALL their dogs...both the bred dogs and their offspring -and someone really needs to take action and speak for the animals here ... I received threats from them (David & Wanda) also - SAVE ALL YOUR CORRESPONDENCE. |
I contacted the houston spca and told them Brushy creek has over 500 dogs in terrible emaciated condition and they need to the property, I wonder if they will take any action and rescue those poor doggies. |

Maybe I'll give them another email too to help complain with you. I HAVE been to Brushy Creek so I can say in all honesty their dogs are living in hell. The one I saw was very sick looking poor baby |
Has Anybody tried Marvin Zindler's Station? It maynot be him, but you need to call the station and actually get to talk to a news reporter. Do not fax in information, they have one person sitting at a fax machince and if he doesn't think the informationis intersteing it goes in the trash. I just heard a speech from a top news reporter in Dallas and I might be able to get him involved if you can't get the Houston news people involved.:animal-pa |
I did speak to an investigator from the SPCA, she said that they are in compliance with Texas Law. She said that they have been out there several times and every time every thing has been okay. She said he runs his kennel as breeding kennels, she said there is a difference between these and puppy mills. She said he only breeds his dogs three to four times and then sells them as pets. I asked why it was okay to sell so many different breeds of dogs, she said that he sometimes purchases from other breeders. He has gotten in trouble with this from the BBB for poor business practices by not letting people know this. She said his kennels are very clean and there is not much they can do at this point. She said he even has a quarentine section for puppies that he imports or for puppies that he knows to be sick. The only thing she said I could do was to report them for administering meds and not taking the puppy to a vet. She said he has also showed her all of his vet bills and vaccination records. She said this has also gone to court many times and every time, he has been found to be in compliance with state law. She also tried to explain that when people are dealing with that many puppies, there are going to be some sicks ones every now and then. OKAY, but I explained that he should not sell sick puppies and at least pick up the vet bill. Another person also contacted me and told me that the lady who said she worked there with over 500 puppies was also countersued by them and they won due to her embezzling money!! I don't know what to believe, but it sounds like he keeps his business in line when it comes to the legal matters of the kennels and his puppies. |
Interesting.... but there is more going on now.....there are pending suits against them that haven't made it to court yet but they WILL & hopefully someone will speak for the sick and dying puppies they sell. |
I personally think, they only show them parts of their kennel (the good side) but I'm pretty sure theres a very very awful area where they keep them hidden away the area that they don't allow you to see, why would they hide the parents of the puppies if they are so well kept? how could they be so nasty if the environment is well kept and clean? |

That makes me so angry, that those people haven't been stopped. |
Well..... I haven't heard back from the attorney yet.. was wondering if maybe they had enough people against brushy creek, I still don't have my money back from those stupid people and I keep getting more and more aggrivated each day...I have contacted the houston humane society, houston SPCA and several other organizations as well as the BBB and I have not had any luck with any of them... Brushy creeks day will come soon enough. I will make dam sure I get at least my money back I WILL NOT SUPPORT them in anyway and I feel so mad that I didn't investigate them before purchasing that poor baby. Poor innocent little puppies forced to live in those awful conditions  |
Everyone Check This Out!! I just went to RIPOFFREPORT.COM and found this: Brushy Creek Kennels, David Moore ripoff SICK PUPPIES, NO PAPERS, NO REFUND, REFUSES TO COMMUNICATE, TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES Hockley Texas Company Brushy Creek Kennels, David Moore Address: 25566 Bradbury Dr. Hockley Texas 77447 U.S.A. Phone Number: 936-931-1459 Fax: I purchased 2 Westie puppies from Brushy Creek Kennel in May 2005. Both puppies were sick with upper respitory infections that he said was from the plane ride. One of the puppies he sent was the wrong dog that needed to be returned. I shipped back the wrong puppy when he was well enough to fly and received correct puppy that was so sick with kennel cough it went into pneumonia which he nearly died from. The puppy finally got better. I was promised papers from the AKC as well as the IKC that I have never received. I have emailed, faxed and called several times over the last year requesting the papers that are rightfully mine. He either is out of the country, or not available. When I finally do get to speak with him he promises me that he has the papers and he will send them to me directly. I am still waiting months later. He has lied to me one too many times. He breeds so many different breeds now, that I have lost count. At first I thought he only bred Westie's and King Charles Spaniels. Had I known the vast amount of dogs he breeds I would never have purchased any puppy from him. He has offered to replace the little boy I purchased from him that is less than quality that I paid for, but I do not want another puppy from him on my property. I have requested a 40% refund instead, but have never received it. Anyone thinking of purchasing a dog from Mr. Moore think again! You will live to regret it. Those of us who have been ripped off of money and paperwork by Mr. Moore, take the time to write a formal letter of complaint to the AKC asking them to investigate. Susan Hemet, California U.S.A. |
