I spent thousands of dollars purchasing my two bitches, thousands more proving their suitability as breeding stock and then in the end I lost thousands on the entire breeding process - stud fees, vet fees, best quality food, more vet fees. When it came down to selling the pups, I found that qualified owners were few and far between. Not everyone can afford to own a yorkie, just as not everyone can afford to drive a Jaguar or a Bentley.
The hardest part about getting one of my pups was getting through the "red tape" and intereview. Coming up with the $$ was the easy part. My standard was to never let a pup go unless the new family could convince me that they could provide more/better than what I could provide. In many cases, pups were handed to a fantastic new family for far less than I had invested in time and $$. |
