| Whelping Box Recommendation? I'm looking to buy a whelping box as I'm not very handy and want to see if anyone has any recommendations they wouldn't mind passing along? I've come accross a couple out there but some are quite pricey. Whelping Boxes - Buy EZwhelp Whelping Boxes Jonart Whelping Box Thanks!

| I use a plastic tub that fits under the bed for a whelping box. I bought it at Wal Mart along with some of those bundled wash cloths to use as bedding. I can pull out the soiled ones and put in a clean one. Plus the tub is easy to clean out.

| I'm using the same right now and happy with it. I use the pad from hospitals (to use with incontence) and a piece of carpet cut to fit. Warm, toasty and easy to deal with. Also the most cost efficient, I looked into loads of ideas. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I was using the same tubs like Janet stated only now I found some that are half the length and work PERFECT. The pups stay in them till they can walk and climb out. They are working great! Moms can get in and out as they please. I have a seperate room just for them so they have their privacy. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | . I am also using the under the bed storage bin. The clear plastic so Mom can see through it at watch puppies. I put a soft blanket, not thick and a towel on top that I change when needed. Mine are 3 weeks now and are still comfortable in there. I also bought baby throw sheets that I use to cover bin for extra warmth.

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Under bed storage bins work great; I keep it inside a 4 x 4 xpen. Plenty of room for mom to move to one side if she gets warm on the heating pad, low enough for her to jump out easily, but high enough to keep pups in for about 3-31/2 wks. When they learn to climb out is about the time for a bigger play area anyway. When you're done using it, clean it out & store your whelping supplies, blankets, and such inside & slide it under a bed.

| I use the EZ whelping box inside a large playpen and it works great as long as it is not moved but if moved it falls apart really easy, i use the bottom of a medium size carrying crate (burgandy) from walmart they are very sturdy and i also use both top & bottom padded for beds for my other kids

| Thanks! Thanks everyone! I'm thinking the homemade option is going to work just fine and will save me $ that I can use towards other things. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
