| Reputable Breeder of Yorkie Puppies near New York City? Hello Everyone, I am new here but a long-time admirer of Yorkies. I live in New York City and would like to welcome a Yorkie puppy into my home. Naturally, I would like to find a reputable breeder who lives within ~100 miles of the city. I would so appreciate any thoughts or recommendations you may have. And soon, I hope, will be contributing to the forum with my new friend! Warm wishes, Marie |

| Welcome to YT, if you come to Pa. be very careful and research the breeder. Pa. is notorious for puppy mills.

| Unfortunately I'm more than 100 miles in upstate NY, but I'll be having a litter at the end of this month. I'm a small in home breeder just starting out that some may call a byb, but I take very good of my babies. Everyone knows how much I love them and how spoiled they are.

| The ones I'm expecting no, but all future ones will. I have one akc girl and I'm searching for an akc boy for her. And yes I know all of the OFA testing and such I have to do on both of them when they are ready. This is the second and last litter this current pair will have, my vet and the staff know my voice every time I call and know how thorough I am especially with record keeping. Even though they aren't health tested and papered, I treat them as such and sell at lower price with the guarantee that I am responsible for any congenital problems that may arise. Im very open and honest about everything a new buyer needs to know about the puppy including behavior and possible behaviors they may inherit from parents who were vet cleared to breed. I do everything minus the testing with these two as if they are AKC because my future plans only involve breeding to AKC standards and improving the breed. I also like to keep in contact and my buyers know they can reach me for questions and concerns at anytime. I send copies of everything I have from the moment puppies are born with new parents.

| I also know the dad's lines a few generations back as mom was given to us by a friend who is unsure if she was ever registered and yes they are kept until 12 weeks no exceptions. I'm constantly searching through forums here and participate in many other breeding and whelming forums

| The YTCA does have quite a bit of "real" reputable breeders here in NY so I do recommend trying them first as I have previously done to see who is closest to me

| My female that is pregnant now is not AKC but my other female is and has a full pedigree. The pregnant one was given to us. I really don't need to explain myself, but i believe in being honest. My dogs are definitely purebred, anyone can look at them and tell. And although DNA can't clarify how far back they are yorkies, they have all been DNA tested as well as still had their DNA entered into the AKC DNA database. I've done enough research and like I said, my unregistered breeding pair will no longer be bred. Once I find a registered mate for my registered female I will continue. Doesn't mean the puppies I have now are not quality yorkies because they aren't registered. Even still, I know what to do here on out and know if my AKC female doesn't pass tests she will not be bred either. Means I can move on to importing my champion bred yorkies and get into showing sooner.
