ok...I'm gonna push using the human baby diapers one more time, LOL :p I keep telling everyone how wonderful they are but nobody seems to be interested...so here are a few pics of Charlie in his diaper so you can see what they look like on...I put them on just like a belly band. The stress levels at our house in the past because of the puppies marking everywhere has been completely eliminated since we started using these diapers and a BIG plus for me is I don't have to change pads, worry about leakage, OR wash the belly bands...the diapers are DISPOSABLE, cheap and convenient....and I think they look just as cute as the belly bands!!! In my opinion it just couldn't be any easier than using these :) Edited to say that Charlie still has his "jewels" but I erased them to protect his privacy :D[/QUOTE] This is ingenius! I saw you talk about this on another thread and couldn't re-find it, i'm so happy you said it again. So do you wrap it around them like you would a belly band? Or do you put it on them the way you would an actual infant? Also what size would I get to fit them, Tuckers right under 4 pounds (but has a wide plump bum), and teddy my pekingese is a stout 11 pounds, w/TONS of fur.Any advice would help, because my teddy bear LOVES to lift that fluffy little leg of his. |
Bentley&Bitsy'smom: Does one diaper last all day? |
LOL!!! FINALLY!!! SOMEONE who thinks like I do!!! :D I tried the belly bands but it was just too much work for me and I like the fact that I don't have to coordinate the shirts my pups wear to the belly bands cause the diapers are always white and match everything they wear, LOL :p YES, you put it on just like a belly band! My pups are four and five pounds and I buy the size two and I buy the cheap off brand.....it'll take you several times before you get the knack of putting them on just right but they work GREAT and it's just so darn easy!!! I'm not sure about your 11 pounder but I had to buy several different sizes before I discovered the size 2 was right for my pups. I would think the size one or two would be right for yours. I remember telling someone on another thread that I would post pictures of Charlie in his diaper but then I forgot and then I couldn't find the thread...maybe that was you I told that to, LOL :D |

Oh, wow! When I had Chester, he marked in the house once and that's because a female in heat was here and she was marking everywhere! OOOOH, and he marked on MY LAP once...again, because I had held a female that was in heat. Rebel hasn't marked yet...knock on wood!!!!! |
One more note...you cannot go by the weight of your pup to the weight that is on the package of baby diapers...it doesn't work. I first bought the newborn baby diapers that stated they go up to a 10 pound baby...so I figured since Bailey and Charlie were four and five pounds the newborn size would work, but it did not because you aren't fitting them on your pup the same way you fit them on a baby. Hope that makes sense :) Size 2 is what I found to work with Bailey (5lbs) and Charlie (4lbs) |
I have a 15 month old, so diapers will be great. I am gonna try it!! |
Post some pics here, please, maybe decorative diaper covers might be in my near sewing future... LOL |
