Help Rosie is 59 days pg and is not in labor yet. There is a thumb size protrusion about 2 inches out: not a pup, and is solid. Tried to gently pull, thought better, and push it back every hour or so. I'm experienced in pups and pg, never seen this. HELP vet out of town. |
you need to find a vet immediately! |
?? solid protrusion.....?? prolapsed uterus ?? I think this is where my back up plan kicks into gear and I would be at an emergency vet if my own vet was out of town......could it be a tiny leg or foot, still in sack that may be drying out now ?? Rather safe than sorry, go to ER vet...... |
Thanks, on our way to vet 100mi. Laurie |
Not a foot or any part of pup. Much experience, always humbled when I think I know alot! Laurie |
this vet may be closer: Veterinarians in Corvallis | Willamette Veterinary Hospital 24 hour on-site vet |
Lauria...not to be mean but please get off line and get to a vet THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, there is no solution anyone online can give you, only a vet can help you with this. |
It sounds like either a vaginal or uterus prolapse. She definitely needs to be seen by a vet. |
Please update us as to what the vet says. I hope things are Ok with your little girl. |

Good morning! Rosie is OK with C Section, in some pain as the vet can't give her pain med due puppies. Two weeks ago she had an ultrasound showing 2 puppies.SURPRISE...we have 2 girls and 1boy; all healthy. The protrusion was her uterus. We had hysterectomy.Again, thank you all for support, info and prayers. Laurie |
