RE: Breeder Jason Hill with Yorkiematch.com I recently bought a puppy from yorkiematch.com. I made a mistake of not getting the CKC papers when I purchased the puppy. Jason told me he would send me the papers. I contacted CKC and they told me that he had already registered the litter BEFORE I even purchased her. So, why would I not be able to have them the day I bought her. I have read other feeds on here where previous owners that also bought puppies from him were not happy also. One puppy had ringworm really bad that her coat was shedding. Another puppy had kennel cough. These puppies must be living in very inadequate conditions. I am not happy with Jason. I have tried to contact him and text him and get no response back. Now, when you call him it goes straight to his voicemail. All I want is my puppy's CKC papers! This guy is selling puppies for a lot of money and scamming innocent people!!! He has pictures of a puppy that he's advertising the one you can purchase on his site and I looked closer and found the puppy I bought is NOT the puppy from the picture! If you have been scammed or deceived by this man also...please contact me. I think he needs to be shut down. It's not fair to the people who come buy from him and especially not fair to the Yorkie breed!!! DON'T BUY FROM YORKIEMATCH.COM!!! It's sad that people can't be honest these days. This was my first experience with online advertising. BEWARE!!! If anyone is willing to sell you a puppy, especially being over $1k...meet them at their house NOT a shopping plaza. I met him at his home but there is a feed where another person who went to the same breeder did that. If I had known the conditions and had read these feeds before buying the puppy from Jason...I would have NEVER bought a puppy from him. Yorkiematch.com....oh dear god for real? This is awful, wish you had researched before you got conned, too late now I suppose but I commend you for posting here and trying to do something about it. CKC is really not worth anything just so you know, unless you were in Canada which is different. I'm sorry this happened to you, I hope the pup is well and lives a good life with you. |

CKC [Canada] I always register the "litter" right away . Then as you sell them you register them to new owners individually..I usually wait until all are sold and do registration to new owners all at once. I breeder has a certain amount of time to do it I thinks its 6 months. So that's why he would no have the papers right away I always mail mine about a month after puppy has gone to new home . They mail them to the breeder then we mail to new owners..hope this helps |
As each individual puppy is sold, I send in the registration papers to the CKC right away. It might take a few weeks for CKC to send on the notification to the new owner, but it will be done. I also give a copy to the purchaser of the finalized paperwork sent into CKC. |
I could bet that he's not with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).. too high of standards. I'm pretty sure it's the Continental Kennel Club, who has a lower standard in "breeding" practices than AKC or CKC (Canada). I'm sorry this happened to you. My baby is a year old that I got from Jason Hill with Yorkie Match. I still have not been able to get papers from him. Between that & the other problems that we've had with him, I gave up trying. I do NOT recommend anyone go through him to get a puppy! |

I received a reply back stating all the puppies had deposits on them and I was first in line for the most expensive puppy If I wanted him. He stated that others wanted him, so I needed to make a decision. I wanted to meet the puppies first, but didn't want to lose out on getting one of the puppies. I said I definitely wanted the last puppy. Soon after I received another email stating the second puppy I was interested in was still available and I could place a deposit on him. I explained we had already spoke and I placed a deposit on the other puppy. Weird since all the puppies were supposedly already spoken for. You are still able to place a PayPal deposit on the puppy I have already purchased, along with the rest of the litter that is supposedly already spoken for. You will notice the owner will bump up the date you can see the puppies to the next Wednesday. He does this every Thursday. It states the puppies have not had their shots, and you will need to wait to see them. When I picked up my puppy, he was very sick. He was puking and not eating. I sent a text to the owner and asked what I should do. He just said to make sure he eats. My puppy ate, but not enough to survive. By the next day, the puppy was very ill. I called the owner and he told me to give the puppy mouths full of honey every 15 minutes. The puppy became worse and I rushed him to an emergency vet as he was going into a coma. The puppy stayed overnight with the vet. I spent $650 to keep my puppy alive through the night. He was stable the next morning and I brought him home. The puppy became worse again and I called the owner. He told me to do the honey again. I explained that was not working. I rushed him back to the vet. The owner accused me of making the puppy sick by taking him to Santa Fe for Labor Day weekend. He also accused me of making him sick because I was listening to the vets instead of him. The Vet was appalled that a breeder would be so cruel. The Vet told me that with 100% certainty that I did not make him ill. It was going to cost over $1000 to test the puppy to see what was making it ill. I did not have anymore money and begged the breeder to help. He refused without a note from the Vet stating what was making the puppy ill. The vet gave me some penicillin and told me to feed the puppy every two hours. He said no more honey, it makes the puppy sick. He said I could give him a little, but it is not needed, if I feed him every two hours. I stayed up all night caring for my puppy. Another review talked about a couple who had the same experience. The breeder convinced them to meet the breeder at his vet. The address ended up being a QT. The couple gave the puppy to the breeder thinking he would save the puppy. The puppy died in the breeder's care. The breeder tried to get me to do the same thing. I chose to listen to the vet, and my puppy is still alive. The breeder then threatened the couple of turning them in for animal abuse. Shame on the breeder for making that couple and myself feel so guilty about something we had no control over. We did everything we could to save the lives of our puppies. Take note, mine lived . . . the puppy returned to the breeder did not. Please do your research. Google reviews for yorkiematch.com. You will find so many tragic stories. I was only able to find two good reviews and they were found on this site. I question if they are legit. There are other more reputable breeders. I have gone through hell the last few days, and I would not wish this on anyone. Do your research. You don't have to take my word for it. Also note, other reviews state they never receive papers on their puppies and the puppies grow to the size of a full size Yorkie. This is okay, but don't advertise your Yorkies as toy and charge a premium price. You have to feel sorry for someone that lives their life so unethically. It will eventually catch up to him. |

Truth Jason Hill may have sold you guys dogs that are bad but I have not had a bad experience with him. He sold me a Yorkie called Thor, and he did get sick for a week but it was due to climate change from where he was originally. Other than that he hasn't given me any problems and I to him. |

Hi. My name is LeAnn. I had the same experience from him. We picked up the puppy from his house with his wife there. I asked her about the parents and she goes and gets me this little short haired dog matted really bad. 1st guys feeling, don't buy the puppy. The she extends the warranty to 1 year. OK maybe they aren't bad. On the way home the dog starts shaking and honking. My husband is totaly in love with this little dog by now. We call Jason. He says not to worry it's normal for a litter to get Kennel Cough. The next morning we take him to my vet. She puts him on antibiotics. OK...we call Jason and keep him updated. For months we go through this and he's getting worse. Thousands pile up in vet bills. One day before his 1st birthday he just grows out of it. He only honks every now and then if he gets excited. I called Jason one day because I went to his sight and found my dogs picture for sale,with the same name for the same price. This guy changes places, changes wives and is just a puppy mill. He needs to b SHUT down and put in JAIL! |
You were lucky Gr33zyinc. But there certainly enough complaints on this site and with the BBB that you must admit Jason is NOT a reputable breeder. Especially posting older pics and selling puppies that are NOT depicted in the pictures. Shaking my head... |
Re: seller Jason Hill @ yorkiematch.com I purchased what was supposed to be a "highest quality" "tiny, small" teacup yorkie puppy in Jan. 2015 for $1,500 from Yorkiematch.com. I was told by Jason, that she would be 5lbs or less as an adult but no guarantees (of course not) When I met with Jason, he had 2 puppies and neither of them looked to be the same dogs listed for sale on his website. He assured me they were the same dogs, they were older now than the pictures and since I promised my kids this puppy for their bday, I went against my better judgement and took one home (She was greasy and smelled of urine but got a bathed at home, right away). During the first week she seemed a bit lethargic and had diarrhea, but that cleared up with a little TLC. A few weeks later I phoned Jason regarding the fact that her hair was shedding (quite a bit) and questioned her being purebred as I hadn't received the CKC papers yet. Btw these are CKC reg not AKC. AKC is a lot more strict when registering dogs, as CKC is more lenient. (Also, I had (still have) 3 other yorkies at the time since they were puppies, so I kind of have an idea of what they look like during the different stages of growing) He again assured me purebred dog. By the time she was 2 mos she was looking less and less like a yorkie. I again questioned Jason as I was requesting the Registration papers. He stood by his words of her being 100% yorkie. To me, at this point I was searching yorkie mixes online and she was looking more like a chorkie (chihuahua/yorkie mix) hair still shedding and body colors not changing from dark black on her trunk and deep copper in ears chest and legs, her hair very wiry and not the typical silky yorkie hair. By the time she was around 2.5mos, I had a DNA test done on her and it came back 100% yorkie. At this point groomers were telling me she was an Australian terrier and she really did fit the bill. I just didn't believe the DNA results either, because looking at her, she doesn't look 100% yorkie Today Coco is 2.5 years old. I have determined that she is a Red Legged Yorkie aka Short coated yorkie. She weighs 11pds (no where near teacup size). She will never be able to been shown in any dog show because of the color and texture of her wiry hair that will never grow longer than 2 inch on most her body, her ear hair doesn't grow at all. Also, it's looked "down upon" to breed her because she could mess up the coloring in the blood lines. So if your looking for a puppy to mature into a show dog or a "highest quality" dog or even for breeding purposes, be very careful where you purchase. From what I've read, good trained breeders that "specialize" in this breed can/should be able to identify these traits in "their" dogs/puppies before selling them off as something else and will price them accordingly. |

Breeder Repsonse 1. Yes, as a breeder we register the litter when they are born. From there it takes a few weeks to get the papers. 2. I sent you the registration form which you then need to fill out with your information, and then give the dog the name you have chosen. At that point the Kennel Club will mail you the actual pedigree chart. 3. You came to my home, you clearly saw that the puppies are raised in very clean conditions. We've been breeding for 30 years. When a customer complains of a health problem, its not just as simple as pointing the finger to the breeder. 4. I have always responded to your messages. I told you what you needed to do, and you refuse to send the papers in to the kennel club. I have nothing else that I can help you with. You know we have spoken many many times. There is no scam, no deception. You met me at my house, you have my home address. There are some customers who don't like the idea of meeting me at my home so I have met them in public places before. 5. Once again I will reiterate what many others have said. Please do your RESEARCH read all of our reviews. If you don't like them then don't buy a puppy from us. Whomever you choose to buy a puppy from do your research. Don't buy a puppy like you would a purse. We have lots of positive reviews and lots of negative reviews. Research for yourself and make the choice on your own. |

About a year ago, we learned that our senior “baby” would not be with us too much longer. Some time later, I dipped my toe in the water and spoke to a few breeders. It had been 15 years since my last search—golly, much had changed. Perhaps a month after we received our baby’s diagnosis, I spoke by phone with “tcupyorkie,” hoping to (1) get basic information about the puppies’ parents, (2) learn about vet record availability, and (3) find out if one could realistically *ever* prospectively view available puppies/litters. My interests were not satisfied in that conversation. It is possible I caught the breeder on a bad day, but I left the phone call believing I wasn’t going to get anywhere researching their pups/breeding program unless I was willing to first pay a non-refundable deposit. In one thread posted today, “tcupyorkie” wrote, “…do your research. Don't buy a puppy like you would a purse.” Ironic. How about not marketing puppies the same as you would a purse? We can all make a mistake, have an off day, pick the wrong userid, etc., but I suspect this breeder could do a better job all around if he/she/they were so motivated. |
