| Trimming the belly At how many days do you trim your pregnant dogs belly? What all do you trim?

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | I trim them as early as possible to avoid putting any extra stress on the momma. I typically use a quiet pair of sheers or a small pair of beard trimmers but scissors with work just as well. You just need to be a bit more cautious around the erect nipples.

| We trim about day 40 to 50 into pregnancy and I use a cordless trimmer from the pharmacy... More specifically the same my hubby uses on his beard. 😍😊 It is quiet and they do not mind it at all. Besides is a little safer because of the skin and nipples. I do underneath the belly and inside the back legs and on the sanitary area behind. It seems to be more than enough and keeps mommy clean and puppies happy and all clean and nice. It is a very happy day here when we are preparing for puppies arrival. Xoxo

| I always use a small pair of scissors to trim the belly hair a few days before the puppies are due. Make sure the body hair is not to long either because the puppies can get tangled up it the hair if it is to long.
