3. Ergo, if we are not allowed, in your opinion, to make anyone "feel uncomfortable," then we must bite our tongues and only praise and platitudes are allowed, as we must not make anyone feel uncomfortable.

Colesmommy I was the one the one that said there was no hope for her and there isnt, Shes breeding undersized yorkies and shes breeding out of natalies lines who passed pups with AAI on to unsuspecting buyers then did nothing about it, Im amazed anyone would help her

I am all for politeness and treating others with respect. But back to this OP she came here knowing full well what the line is, she has it all posted on her website. The fact is she knows the line, knows it has some horrible problems in it, and since she has been a "lurker" here for years also knows how we feel about Natalie and her breeding program. The fact is she is breeding the same way Natalie is and using the same lines with issues as Natalie. I for one have no sympathy for either of them. My sympathy lies with all those unsuspecting buyer who are buying into all the heartache these poor little ones will bring with them and for the poor little babe's themselves.

Just wondering if you were researching that Volvo and you went to an online forum and read people were making complaints about a car dealership that sold defective cars would you defend their practice as much as you are defending this breeder? If a person goes into business they should know their business. If they know they are selling a defective car that the consumer is going to have pay for a lot of repairs is that not fraud. Would you not want the people on the forum to publicly state that what this person is selling is defective.And we are not talking about inanimate objects like cars we are talking about innocent dogs who feel the pain that is a direct result of poor breeding practices. Adding insult to injury the emotional cost on top of the financial cost are devastating for the person who loves their dog and is financially digging themselves into a hole attempting to save the life of the companion. I know this personally as I learned the hard way and spent over $7,000.00 the first year on a poorly breed Yorkie, and luckily that was just kennel cough/pneumonia, giardia, coccidia, arthritis, and LP nothing as devastating as AAI. I wish I had know about YT and had access to the advice here. Any many of the genetic defects in this line seem to be fatal, shame on any breeder who knowingly continues to breed these faults.
I am in my 50's life has taught me a lot of lessons. I say in my 20's I knew all the answers now I am not even sure what are the right questions. Life is a learning process we learn by research and discussion not by hiding behind PM's

Personally, I don't think it matters how people said things...Either way,I don't think it's going to make one bit of difference in the way the OP conducts her breeding business. She says she's not new to YT or to breeding so I am pretty sure she is already aware of the things people are pointing out to her.


I, for one, am glad that people responded on the open board instead of in a PM....because while it may not change the way the OP conducts her business, it may actually have an impact on someone who's thinking about buying a dog from the OP or the Burgundy Wee line. If people commented on her breeding practices via pm, it's not in public forum where the potential buyers who can and will actually benefit from this thread, can read it.

It's virtually impossible to stop bad/irresponsible breeding practices, but if buyers are educated and stop buying from the bad breeders, eventually they won't be able to make money off puppies.

ColesMommy01, I do understand what you are saying about running people off by attacking them when they post...but in this case, I also feel like the OP should know better than to do some of the things she is doing. If she was brand new and had no idea what she was doing, and was asking for information....it may be a different story....but even then, there's a part of me that also believes that ignorance is no excuse when you've decided that you are ENTITLED to play God with other living being's lives. Most people come here after the fact...after they've bred their dogs JUST because "they can"...and then they want to know the things they should have already known. It's no fair to the dog being bred....it's no fair to the future owners...it's no fair to all the dogs suffering in shelters due to overpopulation. While I've only been here a short time...whether things have been said nicely or not...NOT ONCE, have I seen someone say "you know what, I am going to do what's right and terminate the pregnancy and spay my dog. Not once, has any of them said "boy, after learning all this, I don't think I am going to breed my dog." or "Geesh, I sure feel bad that I put my dog through this unnecessary risk and I'll never do it again." Nope....they think because they've got an intact dog, they've got the "RIGHT" to breed it and they do. Heck, that's like saying ANY women who has intact ovaries should be able to have kids, because she can regardless of her situation!!

What I have seen is people coming here to learn who good breeders are...and what to look for in good/bad breeders. I've seen people trying to educate themselves before they buy a puppy or sometimes after they've got burned by a bad breeder.

In chloesmommy's defense I dont think she ment anything about the subject at hand. Some people on here have been here for a while and they r passionate about things like bad breeders n saving a pups (or seniors life) and thats great! However people like me n chloesmom r younger n possibly have diff outlooks on the whole thing. We r both learning and although we may or may not ever get there i think we all have good intentions. Even though it seems like this women is just in it for the money shes still human capable of maybe love lol anyway people always need away to survive and at the end of the day this is what people in this world do try to find a way to survive (im not condoning what shes doing im just trying to be logical)...anyways I dont think anyone on here that actually stayed on yorkie talk has bad motives toward thier own pup so none of us here are the enimies so we should all live in harmony n agree to disagree (not about breeding teacups just about how to talk to one another)sorry I ramble

May I suggest to you that you tour a puppymill, A licensed one? or really devote an hour of your time doing nothing else but browsing websites about it? If your interested let me know I will offer up some sites to visit.

Making $ off the backs of helpless pups, let them do all the work, producing puppies, giving birth to puppies, nurse the puppies, just to have them taken away 8 weeks old. NOT doing it right is the major problem. Using 3# females, too small to breed, just to produce small 'teacup' puppies is the problem. Health takes a back seat, they strive for the LOOK & SIZE, no ethics, no morals.
I have NO sympathy or compassion for people like this, they're the VILE ones. They say they love their pups & raise them in the home like family, but they have no thoughts on putting the pup's health 1st & foremost which is what it should be. Their main goal is to breed tiny teeny weeny micro pocket purse puppies, period.

If it comes off as attacking, then perhaps people should put on their big girl panties before getting on the Internet. People have different and opposing opinions. They also have different ways of expressing them. Telling another poster that they should post this way or that way is far more rude and controlling than anything that has ever been said on these boards.

I so agree about this wonderful book, it's worth it's weight in gold. The only one I know of with info on color and it's changes from pup to adult and what to look for in a puppy to get the standard in color. Your public library should have it.

This was on the first page so I have not read through it all. This book must have almost a hundred breeders in one chapter or another so I am not finding mentioning of Burgundy yet but will I'm sure.

I wonder if the original poster might be having problems with the breeder herself, she certainly knows were to sell a pup here but maybe wants a thread where people have had problems like her to print out.

I sincerely doubt it since the OP became quite enraged when links were given to other threads discussing the line. Her post was deleted because of the names she called a few YT members.

Wow. I am so sorry to hear all of this. Please. I have only recently joined and it was because I was seeing breeders and owners helping one another in a loving and charitable fashion. I have not seen your site, but that is beside the point. I hope those who were so rightious and opinionated do a little soul searching and make some apologies. i feel embarrassed for them.

Stick around for awhile and see what comes of people with irreputable breeding programs. See the heartache that it causes the owners and the pain and suffering it causes the dogs when these so called breeders breed with defective lines.

When the truth is spoken, there are no apologies owed.

Welcome to YT. The breeder in question here has been around a long time and has horrible breeding practices. She sells very sick puppies amongst other things so I agree you won't see anyone apologizing to her for voicing their opinions on her breeding program or the way she treats the buyers and pups afterwards.
