So tell me why you wouldn't/would buy a puppy from here:

The first sentence on her site speaks for itself:
"My name is Lora Childers, and as a designer hybrid dog breeder it has always been a dream of mine to create an Angel Doll- a tiny toy dog that looks and plays like a permanent puppy!" :confused:

She mixes Maltese, Lhasa Apso, Yorkies & Chihuahuas...and says they're registered? Where?? And she sends them home at 9 weeks! :mad: How sad. I doubt that "she" is even doing the actual breeding.

I'd rather go to my local shelter, save myself the $1500 & the life of a pup who really needs a home.

I just noticed this line in her contract:

"There is no guarantee against hypoglycemia, stressed related illness, ability to breed, or any other non-life threatening diseases, because Puppies often stress during moves to new homes, change of diet, or not eating enough, as well as excessive handling."

This makes me sick.

I thought you had to sign a spay/neuter contract?! :confused:

We live 25 minutes from the address listed on the site...I think the weather is fine for a short sightseeing trip tomorrow.

The entire website makes me sick. Her opening intro is enough to make you puke.

I mean is this place even in the US? Is this someone in China or Nigeria trying to defraud buyers?

Bc many homeless dogs in a shelter will die for every mixed hybrid puppy she produces. Very sad & even more discouraging is that people actually buy from greeders like this.

So many red flags denoting this person is breeding dogs not to improve a breed but to create some kind of so-called "designer dog" where just about any breed is crossed with another breed to see what happens! The breeder is essentially rolling the dice with the puppies' lives and health and very likely doing it all for one reason - money. The breeder makes health claims she cannot possibly prove and doesn't try - just hopes that the potential buyer will fall under the magical spell of pictures of young, cute puppies and up. The breeder is taking what most people call mixed-breed and Heinz 57, so-called mutt puppies and seemingly trying to make them more desirable in order to hike the prices through the roof. And no doubt about it, for half-breed dogs, they are wildly overpriced. Buyers can find dogs like these in their local community for $300 - $500.00 all over the country in the homes and kennels of BYB'ers and puppymlllers, not to mention the public animal shelters and rescue organizations.

Doing business with this kind of breeder underwrites their less than stellar breeding practices, unjustly enriches them and helps add to the overbreeding of dogs, a huge problem in this country as our full animal shelters loudly testify. Besides all that, buying from this breeder can empty the wallet of a buyer for the same kind of dog that can be had for less than $100.00 at your local shelter while a sweet little life is saved in the process. Call a shelter, not this breeder, if you are looking for a mix-breed dog.

Sorry folks, my mom is in town visiting for the week so schedules and routines are a bit wonky. We'll drive there tomorrow (way too late tonight now, and I couldn't see anything even if I wanted to), but I wanted to at least update the status...more tomorrow.

American Canine Hybrid club?? REALLY??? There are so many things wrong with that website, it would be impossible to list. And I'm terribly upset my designer dog isn't listed on the achc as a recognized hybrid :eek: haha (I meant to say my brb mutt...:rolleyes:)

Are you driving to the home of the Angel Doll Pups breeder?

These puppies look like the small dog section of any local animal shelter sans the ridiculous price tag and unrealistic and unbelievable claims.

Oh I can give you 1500 reasons not to buy from here. I can't believe those outrageous prices for a mutt! You can adopt one from the shelter for 1/10 of that.

I am extremely worried and I don't know what the next step is. I do not believe the property we looked at is the site of a reputable breeder. I have pictures but I do not know if it is even legal to post or share pictures of someone's property without their permission. We are currently trying to find a way to get this stupid phone to transfer the pictures to the account online so we can get them onto the PC. I really don't like Verizon.

In any case, can someone please help me? I do believe this person needs to be inspected.
