I was very much against FB and social media before too, but it was necessary for my business now and prior costume business. But with both of those, I did not PAY for advertising. Yes I paid for a url and an etsy store, but it's not the same as ads. All my business then and now are all from word of mouth. Free advertising and referrals, which I think is a lot more meaningful.

Princess Sophie is doing great! Struggling with a bug bite/sting on her right front paw right now but we have antibiotics and are continuing to aloe her toes and wrap them in baby socks. She doesn't mind, it seems, and the DH will hold her while I take care of the foot so we're good too.

She is doing better potty training. We've been spending a lot of time outside since the weather turned cooler and we think Sophie prefers to potty outside than on her pad in the bathroom. At least that's what we are hoping. We expect to always have a pad down for her in the future and so, I just finished her first homemade cloth potty pad. We'll give it a go tomorrow.

Other than that, she continues to be full of energy, until she drops into a deep sleep for naps or at night. She is sleeping through the night unless the neighbors come home at 11:30 or 12 AM and their loud laughing and talking wake her up, then of course she has to give a resounding bark to warn them to stay away. LOL But outside of that, she's a great traveler, eating well, a full 5 lbs. now and going in for a major hair cut tomorrow morning! I'll be sure to post picts of before and after later tomorrow.

Thanks so much for asking! Sometimes I forget to post about what's happening in and out of our house. Just too busy playing and when she naps, cleaning and doing laundry. It's never ending. LOL:D

I don't know why I am even replying to this nonsense at this point. Frankly, I think that all of you who spent so much energy bashing my post should be ashamed of being so closed-minded. Vadzilla.com is not an "outlet for bad breeders", it is an outlet for ALL breeders. Two of the YT-recommended breeders are in our database too. But nobody here seems to look hard enough to see beyond their blind prejudice.

Just because a breeder is on this site, even if they are listed as preferred or whatever, does not mean they are reputable, sadly....even here we have unethical breeders.

One of the breeders on your site is a good friend of mine, I also know she is a keyboard warrior with no experience and may not even know she signed up for your sit. I also know that she has a waiting list for her pups most time and if she has PURPOSELY chosen to list with you, well then there is nothing I can do about that.

I think these two posts finally nailed it on the head. It is 21st century people, wake up ! Internet is not only here to stay, it will be replaced by something more advanced soon. Younger generation are not reading these forums, they want a faster way to get what they want, including information. Look around yourself and see people using their cell phones to do everything. Nobody reads books anymore. Do you think they will bother reading your posts ? LOL If you are so passionate about bad breeders and puppy mills taking over, give them a fair fight and use the new technology, instead of bashing it and resisting. Of course bashing is so much easier, for someone who still lives in 1970's.

We will monitor the breeder reviews on our site, and see how it goes. If it becomes a problem, we will think of something else, dont worry. Just because Yelp may be struggling (still not quite convinced that's the case), doesn't mean that everybody else has to stop even trying. Gladly not everyone in this world has a defeatist, pessimistic mentality.

Point is, if you are offering a site that you say helps people, why can't you add in some helpful info about breed standards as well? For example, most if not all reputable breeders have a page that talks about how teacup yorkies are just a marketing ploy. Why don't you have more info on your site other than just breeders' ads?

Which is owner of Vadzilla.com, is owned by two people who are husband and wife; who like your Vadzilla.com website claims IS "owned by two scientists" and pet lovers are also scientists. Very reputable and highly acclaimed, I might add. Pfizer is HUGEEEEEEE..... but unfortunately, Pfizer still uses animals in their testing so my question to the owners of Vadzilla.com...would be as Scientists who use animals in their testing isn't it a conflict of interest to claim then to be able to help "consumers" find the PERFECT PET? I am not rendering my opinion on Animal Testing...I am merely asking, why 2 highly educated, highly intelligent people such as the owners of this website, of which you claim to own, who obviously earn a very handsome and deservingly income now want to further that income to include animals...ya know like making even more money off the backs of animals...ethically....I don't understand this other than you are just looking to make MORE MONEY...

My point is, people need to look out side of the box, and not automatically presume that if something new appears, it will make everything only worse.
We are planning to publish couple of articles per month going forward on various breeds, but we are a small family company, and have limited resources - it will take time. Right now our site is pretty bare, its true. I can tell you, as an admin, I work on Vadzilla 12-14 hrs per day - a lot is involved in making things work. As for information, it not that easy also - most of things are copyrighted, I can not just place them on my site - I have to create my own content. I offered YT admin to exchange links, and place a link to this forum on our site, to provide additional avenue of information for users, but they refused.

LOW???? You are owner to the website, you do not have the right to be anonymous when you are about to take money from many many many people.

I have a moral and ethical dedication to animals, I want to know how and why another website that is going to link byb's, greeders, puppymills, and reputable breeders all together in one pool and possibly put at risk more animals and lead unsuspecting victims to breeders who are unethical is going to run....why it is necessary.

You lost your job, I am very sorry, been there and done that...currently as we speak I took a huge cut in pay. I've never made close to the income your family has made....that's my fault and I applaud you and your wife on your great accomplishments. But please explain to me how adding a website that puts any risk to animal together is anything but for money?
