Thank God you came along at the right time. The puppy will be grateful to you for the rest of her life. I too once adopted a baby like this. This was many years ago, but at the time our vet said to use Kitten Flea Shampoo. It worked great. I would also keep some Nutrical or Nutristat on hand just in case she has a low blood sugar attack. Your vet will be your greatest advisor. Keep us informed on the baby. |
thank god you took her in i do hope the other pups are as lucky. when can we see pics? |
Thanks for the update...I am glad she found you to take her in..... |
Sounds like a match made in heaven!! Glad you found each other!!!! |
To help keep her warm, at Petsmart they have a heat disk. You can microwave it for a few min and wrap in a towel. My pups LOVED it when they were little. Kept them warm for 7-8 hours at a time. Here is a link so you can see what it looks like. http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...sText=heat&N=2 They can't be directly on it unless its wrapped in a towel/blanket. You may want to also get some Nutrical so she doesn't go into hypoglycemia (sp?). That's at Petsmart too. Let us know what the vet says. You are a good person for doing this. |
Bless you! Nothing better than a story with a happy ending! :) It is so terrible that people don't stop to think of the lives of these poor babies before deciding to breed their dogs. Your new baby is VERY lucky that you came along and when she gets older, you can tell her the story of the Christmas that she came into your life! :p |
I use that heat disk ALL the time. It is wonderful when you take young ones to the vet..if the puppies don't need it, it feels really good on a cold leather seat and momma's bum... Your update is so up-lifting and full of good news. Bless y'all.. |
Eggs and Noel, I wish you the very best. I hope Noel grows into a healthy and happy puppy romping around and having a good time! :D |
Another pup Glad I used my brain and gave my number out to the other people who took pups. and offered money, Got one of the males back yesterday. heading to the vet today in an hour. He's been barely eating. I was told they fed him straight puppy chow. no soft. and he's kinda of lerthigac. so I've been giving him canned pedigree puppy and goats milk and nutrical all night as much as he would take. not sure if I see an improvement. His bone structure is lager and heavier than Noel. but I can feel his ribs and he doesn't walk alot at all. so I spent all night up keeping him warm and fed. Noel's nose is abit outa joint. LOL.... Wish me luck Eggs and Noel and ??????? |
Wow, i am so glad they got ahold of you this little guy is in great hands! I hope improvements come soon for you new lil man! Please keep us posted! |

Unfournately there will always be stories like this and lets hope they all have cinderella endings. It is so sad that humans are much more cruel in their treatment of animals than animals would ever be to humans. Keep us posted on the babies and I will keep them in my prayers ( and you too as you will need all the energy you can find ) Bless the rescurers among us   |
Oh good luck with the new guy....hope all is ok....not sure on a name huh? do you want it to have a Christmas type also? |
What a beautiful thing you are doing for those poor babies... Truly a Christmas miracle story! You could name him Nick.. (as in Saint) then you'd have a Noel and Nick... |
