Pregnancy Time length I was wandering if first time moms carry longer Lilli is on her 64 day from the first breeding, can anyone give me any advice, her temp is at 98.6 and is has been going to her crate and sleeping in it for the past 2 days, Thanks Kristi |
All my femals have carried 62-64 days..... maybe nothing happened their first time? I would keep a good eye on her and if she dont have them soon or seems to have any trouble I would have a vet check her. |
She isnt showing any signs of distress she just has been sleeping alot.I have this feeling it might be tonight I hope so me and her are ready to get this over with:) |
Mine goes from 62 to 65 days . Venus will have her puppies around Christmas day . |
Gracie carried till day 64 both times. With a temp that low, I'd be watching her closely. I think it'll be tonight...best of luck! |
When do male yorkies eventually become "active", i'm only going to breed my dog once then get it neutered. |

Annabelle looked so uncomfortable the last few hours of her pregnancy, before she started labor, that I gave her a luke-warm bath. She loves the water to be deep enough that it is almost to the top of her back. I then blow dry her which she also likes. She relaxed enough that with-in an hour she was starting to push. I have heard that baths will help a women in labor relax making the process easier, so I tried it for Belle and it worked. Let us know when you have babies. |
Thanks for the info I might the bath she needs one anyways. I will post pics as soon as my granddoggies get her cant wait! Kristi |
Sorry cant spell tonight I am lacking sleep .LOL Kristi |
Annabelle did too, so I figured why not. Besides we all know that they might as well smell good at the start because they dont after. |
