61 days pregnant!!!
 
Hello my LUNA is 61 days prego and im worried cause she doesnt seem to have milk :( she still eating and i font see any vaginal discharge, the puppies move alot and i hear the hearts with stetoscope, is it normal that she still dont feel any contractions or anything like fischarge??? Plz help me... Thanks in advance :animal-pa

Nothing you described is particularly abnormal. Some girls don't show milk until delivery or maybe you're not expressing her teat correctly. She should be losing her mucus plug, but you may not have noticed it. Check to see if any hair in that area is sticky. Some girls eat right up til whelping. I wouldn't expect contractions until the onset of labor.

Bottom line....

If you're worried, see your vet. None of us are there to see for ourselves, so it's hard to say. I would say it's important for you to remain calm. Your nervousness will transfer to your girl and that's not good.

I am not a breeder or anything. However, Bella had her puppies a couple days ago and she didn't produce milk until delivery. Now, the puppies are milking away :).

Thanks for the update and glad everything went okay for Bella! You will have to post pictures of the little ones and momma.

Some dont get a full milk belly until after whelping and after the pups start to nurse. The pups need to be encouraged to nurse right after birth. That will stimulate milk production. Plus she should of been on a high calcium diet for at least the past few weeks before she whelps and continuer until the pups are weaned. She should be fine, but if after she whelps and still has no milk within 24hrs call your vet.

Dont know how much research you have done but this will help you.

I don't know if found this too late, but she could go a few more days. 61 days is when mine usually whelp, but can go longer. Some get milk prior, and some get milk after whelp. If you are concerned, then your vet should be able to ease your mind. But sounds like your are fine.

Hi, well my girl is 63 days today, and my vet said that if she is acting normal then she just might need a few more days, because she might of concive a lil later than the days i count..
She is eating well, has no discharge but i can tell that she did had a lil bit of sticky stuff by her tits close by her part yesturday, puppies keep moving and hearts going ok, Temperature still on 100, i will wait a lil longer before i go back to vet, he said some can go up to 70days?? Wath u guys think???

Thanks woogie man, I did see the vet, i just wanted to know other peoples opinion since i seen alot of experienced owners and breeders here :) iam not transfering bad vib to my female thats the least i would do, iam calm and pationly waiting :)

Hi debbieensen, yes my girl is been on a good quality puppy food, she also has her whelping box and everything else she needs, i also bought puppy formula n goats milk just in case she doesnt have any milk :) now were just waiting.. I will keep a update!!

Howmany days was bella when she whelped?? Howmuch weight she gain? And howmany pups if u dont mind me asking lol

Thanks for the update. My gal delivered on day 68 from her first tie but right on target with the second. So, your gal could be in the same situation.

Yes Dawn i hope is just that :) We will keep cheking on her, she hates to be left alone in her room but is for her good because she jumps to much lol Howmany babys urs had?

Omg 6 is alot lol but they are so CUTE <3 congratz :) my girl gain 3lbs so i hope is more than 3, so they wont be to big and hard to deliver..

We were very surprised, I expected 4 at the most and ended up with 6 tiny babies. Good luck and keep us posted.

LUNA UPDATE!
She is 64 days today, she has eaten much today, she pooped lastnight and it wasnt hard as always, she havent been peeing on her pee pad, but instead outside her whelping box close by, is that maybe like a way of saying this is my whelping box (signature)?? Lol she is breathing a lil hard and her belly feels HARD, temperature up n down & she looks tired. I hope she is getting closer :)

Those are all signs that she getting close. Once her temp drops to 98.2 or lower it could be within the next 12-24 hrs. She is spending more time in her box and her breathing is rapid means she getting closer. If she starts to pant and her eye are dilated you should see pups within hours. Keep her calm, keep the noise level down and no unnecessary interaction with other dogs or kids. I found that by keeping the whelping box area dark helps move things along faster.

What was her temp last time?
Have you checked to see if her eyes are dilated?

Yes she is spending most time in her whelping box with her bed and blankets, bu she doesnt have nesting signs yet, i have the light off in room and blindes too so her room is dark, and just a night light on when i go check on her, her temperature keeps going up and down, it kind of looks like her eyes are dilated, i just pray everything goes well :) is it normal that her poop is not hard and smelly??

It is normal for their poo to be inconsistent, less hard and even get diarrhea. Not sure about the smell, I dont normally go around smelling her poop !! :confused:

It hubbys job to clean up the yard not mine.

So any news, how is your gal doing today ?

Lunas update!
She had her 5 beautiful pups yesturday :)
Everything went GOOD thank GOD, me and my husband were so sorprised because we didnt expected 5, but we were more amazed to find out they were all lil divas lol YES ALL 5 were GIRLS!! Luna is one happy good momma.. Thanks for all of u guyses help :) will post pics later, gonna have to use hubbys phone cause for some reason i cant with iphone :(

It is normal for their poo to be inconsistent, less hard and even get diarrhea. Not sure about the smell, I dont normally go around smelling her poop !! :confused:

I dont let my dam go outside to potty the last weeks of her pregnancy, she is train to potty on her pee pads, and iam the one who cleans her room. Is not like i go around smelling Her poop :/

Oh wow great news.... Congrats !
