I second that. My Gracie actually attacked one of my other yorkies for trying to get too close to my computer. She was searching for those puppies herself. Gracie was also five when we got her.
The two rescues I have right now (Gracie and Tyler) did not know how to play with toys. Gracie after three years still only plays for a few seconds. Tyler has picked a ball up but when it squeeked he fled. Now he is scared of all of the toys. Poor little guy. Good thing his favorite thing to do is cuddle. | Lolita was the same as your girls. She would run around the T.V. in circles looking for the puppies. She also never played with toys and rarely wagged her tiny tail. In the end she loved to snuggle with us but she never quit cowering when others reached for her. It is so hard wondering how horrible their lives were before. I am sure a retired little girl from a reputable breeder would be entirely different. |
