Thank you so much for the update on Kandi! I have no knowledge other than what I read here about having pups! :) The only thing I can say is that we will be praying for little Kandi and trust that she and her little babies will be OK!! God bless you all and Merry Christmas!! ;)

JLisaLo, I know this was and accident and you are so upset. Kandi and her pups will be in my prayers!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your baby! Everything will be fine.

I will have Kandi in my prayers for her and the pups to be safe during and after delivery. Please keep us posted. Everyone has given you great advise. In my opinion she should be spay. Good luck.

Getting her spayed while she's under for her section isn't a bad idea.

You have no idea how a lot of the people that try to be a part of this forum feel. I and others who do not do exactly as the circle of a few people who act like they own the forums want are blasted because you don't agree with us. The PMs are numerous, we could have another forum, & if everyone that didn't want to post publicly because of vultures were in it, it would be bigger than this one. I enjoy this forum so I am trying to hold my tongue but only a select few are comfortable posting anything beside small talk. The adm. run it but it is hard to tell.

You are entitled to your opinion and if you see me as a vulture then so be it. I at least breed with a conscience of knowing that my bitch is over 5 lbs unlike the breeding program that some promote here. I think that most members would agree that those that breed under 5 lbs are not only irresponsible but reckless as well and some would even think greedy.

Their is also an art in being able to "remember what this thread is intended for"...And that is the help of a smaller Yorkie about to give birth.

Opinions have been expressed thus so far. Let us all just hope for the well being of both Mama and babies right now.

good luck! accidents do happen. ive been waiting for a yorkie pup for awhile.had my heart set on a littet just born. well, the breeder called me last wek and said please dont scream vicki, i said, why would i scream? well, she informed me that the mama of 5 pups had yorkinese instead. what, i said? she said she saw her yorkies tie but here peke got mamma. i dont know what to do. any suggestions??

Although I don't agree with the breeding of tinies, I think there is a time and a place for the negative posts. The boards where a member is begging for help is not one of them. Save it for the argumentive boards where it's in the title. Many newbies have been scared to post because of the bashing. Who really suffers here? The dogs will.
In this case the lady knows what happened was wrong. Maybe she did everything she could to prevent it. Accidents happen. There are much worse breeders on here who do this sort of thing on purpose to many dogs at the same time. I can tell this lady regrets what happened. There is nothing we can do but learn from our mistakes. We all have made mistakes, so the issue posts of this board should be helping others and making suggestions on how this won't happen again.
I believe one of the responsibilities of owning a tiny is to make sure she never gets pregnant. A contract should be made from the breeders as well. In the event a pregnancy might have happened, a vet check should be made promptly. You should also ask if the vet recommends termination of the pregnancy as not to put your dog's life in jeopardy. I'm sorry if no one notified you of these things ahead of time.
Please let us know how the mother and these puppies end up doing. Please don't be afraid of the negative posts. If anything, your bravery will show others the truth about breeding tinies. Please let everyone know how much this has cost you in time, money, and especially the heartache and worry. Please let the novice breeders know what they're in for if they are thinking of breeding a tiny female. You could save a lot of other owners and dogs from the same heartache and pain.
It will be a true miracle if all 5 of these little ones make it. Regardless you, your little one, and all of her babies are in my prayers.

I do have a couple of questions.. Did your Vet measure the heads of the puppies to the measurement of her pelvic opening? My vet always does this so we will know if we are looking at a c-section.. Did she just tie one time or more then one time?

As they have mentioned earlier in this post if you trust your Vet (I sure HOPE you do) then listen to her/him! Please keep your girl at home.. The less stress she is put through the better for her and the babies..

I enjoy reading your posts, and have a strong admiration for you. I understand completely where you are coming from. I am not much different from you, I pretty much say what is on my mind, and I can cope with constructive critisizm when I get it. I don't think that you or anyone else who TRULY cares about this forum are making anyone afraid to post. We all are VERY emotional when it comes to our beloved breed and it does come out in our posts at times. Some folks do need an eye opener at times IMO. My opinion on intentional breeding of tiny females is that it is just wrong and GREEDY.

At the same time I have to put myself in this person's shoes too. I had an extremely ACCIDENTAL breeding about 8 yrs ago with my small girl Chelsea, which I've posted about in the past. She became pregnant through the opening for the tail in her panties. I felt terrible, ashamed. But I learned from it and she and her babies ended up good in the end. I had her spayed during her c-sec and that all went well too. I'm the first to admit when I've made a mistake, and I don't see anything that you've ever said as causing others to be afraid to post.

Anyone who is willing to lay it out on the table should also be willing to accept the responses and opinions of others. I don't feel that being emotional and passionate about a paticular breed or practice is bashing.

I hope that Kandie and her babies are all doing well and I hope that her owner has maybe learned a little something here. I will be thinking about her and anxious to know about the outcome. Merry Christmas!

I just wanted to say good luck again to you :animal-pa - it sounds like you're getting great advise and I wanted to add this....We all have a different STYLE of posting on these sites....what one person might consider to be rude... another person would see it as an opinion offered -

If we ALL talked the same way and said the same things - this site would be very boring and not nearly as informative.... No one should ever feel scared to post - when we put out there with questions...we should be ready for all different kinds of replies. I personally love all the different personalities on this site - I think each person has something to offer in their own way...

Good Morning and Merry Christmas!
I didn't dream I would ever get so many responses! This just shows me that I am in the right place, I know that there are others who love their babies as much as I do and honestly I have learned alot here. I do appreciate each and every one of you who have taken the time to read, post and most of all give me your advice/opinions, even though some were strong I still appreciate the concern for my baby which I know was the reason for the responses to my original post. Kandi is still doing fine, just lazy and clingy, spoiled and luvving it, we aren't out of the woods yet, but I have a very good feeling and know that I have given her the best care and did my very best to see her thru this. She will never ever go thru this again and we will make sure her babies get only the best care and go to only the best of homes. I am amazed at how many people are already calling and stopping me to ask about purchasing. That is not my concern at all. No amount of money will change my mind, I have decided to give one to my brother as well as my ex-husband (weird but he loves KoKo and Kandi), so I know that they will be loved and well taken care of. Merry Christmas to everyone !!!!

I commend you for taking the appropriate steps to handle this situation that you are now faced with. I can tell your vet knows what he/she's doing. I assume you are not going to wait for labor but when her progrestrone is low showing her body's ready for labor then do the c-section. Feel at ease that you have done everything you can to ensure Kandi will have a safe delievery. You are the perfect example of how to handle an 'oops' when size is a concern. Did you get a 2nd job yet or take out a 2nd mortgage on your house?..lololol. It's worth it!

Just wanted to add my best wishes for little Kandi to have a safe and uneventful whelping. I am sorry you are in this predicament, but I think you have done all you can to make it as safe and easy as you can for her. It sounds like your vet, and you, have things under control. Please let us know when the babies are born and also how mama and kids are doing! I think everyone here is hoping for the best for your Kandi and for you. Please keep us informed.

Not to go off subject or anything. I just wanted to point out that I think it's wront to call people who love and want to protect these little dogs from the mistreatment of the breeders who breed tinies on purpose "vultures." If you do something highly regarded as "wrong" ON PURPOSE, then you can expect some constructive criticism. I also believe that when someone already feels guilty about it then there is no need to add onto one's guilt. But if people publicly admit to a bad breeding program they have thought through, then they can expect people to speak up for what they believe is best for the dog. In this case she said she is not one of those people who breed tinies on purpose. I really hope her little one ends up being okay and that she tells everyone how the birthing process went to encourage others to be more careful.

Like many others on here have said...just follow the advise of your vet. I will be saying prayers for you and your little one. And by the way....when my mothers yorkie, Olivia, had pups....1 was given to my ex and his wife. When my parents and my children were involved in a car accident in July on our way home from picking up my mothers Biewer and my new yorkie, my ex and his wife took the 2 new pups home with them so we wouldn't have to pay a vet to board them since we were out of state and my mother was still in the hospital in that state. They took very good care of the pups and really hated to part with them when we finally went to get them (after 3 weeks). I told my ex that the next liter of pups he would get his first choice if he wanted and I held my promise and their little Furry is SPOILED! I'm sure your ex will provide and excellent home. Again...good luck....and ya'll are in my prayers. Please keep us updated.
