tillys temp went back up then dropped again today i think all is normal she was digging this morning with no panting. she's off her food and did a couple of poos... i'm a nervous wreck lol. the pups have calmed down but not stressed (can hear heart beats). what do you guys do during the nervous wait? i dont want to leave the room and miss things but i think me watching her is slowing things down. |
what I do while is this close is I get a good book and sit by the whelping box, and read,while my girl goes thru the stages, I watch them like a hawk , I check and triple check that I have all my supplies ready and just wait, if she wants to walk in the yard I take her in a leash so she can't get ahead of me. I also make sure I have the whelping drink and pudding ready, the goats milk in case I need it, clean sheets for the whelping box, and wait, and wait..:D best of luck and wishing your girl a safe and fast whelping.. hugs, |

Unless I'm mis-calculating by your previous post when you said she was on day 53, she could very well have another few days to go. Not to say they can't whelp a few days early as well, but just saying............. The temp thing can go up and down, up and down like a roller coaster, the clear discharge you spoke of is normal a week or so ahead (and as labor begins). Most often it is pretty obvious when the real labor time begins, but you are right to stay near her, watch her, and check on her at this point in her pregnancy. She could go................................or she (rather her pups) will make you wait a little bit longer. Good luck with the whelp; anxious to read the good news & hopefully see some pictures of the little ones before too long. :) |

I don't start worring until day 59 and up... before that it could be just a little false labor.. day 53 I am praying she is NOT in labor puppies will not be viable if born before day 59. hugs, |
she is day 57 days today i think....due date is 24th:) lol i lost count... |
oh,ok, so she still have 2 or 3 more days we want her to keep those puppies inside.. after day 58 or 59 any day is good...:D |
