I guess $ is relative to the person spending it. I would rather see a reputable breeder get several thousand dollars for a healthy dog than some movie star get millions of dollars and unending royalties for 300 hours of "work". And then talk about how they spent $30 mil on a wedding that lasted a few thousand hours and oh, when they talk about how hard their jobs are - pul-eezzzzzze. And when I go to the movie to see their overly weird, overly violent or nude "masterpiece", have to pay upwards of $15.00 for a ticket just to get inside for 90 mins. At least people that spend the money on a fine Yorkie are getting a beautiful companion added to their lives that will give them something fine for life. |

And if you are talking about Kim K, I am in total agreement with you. that woman is a waste of space. and she takes up a lot of it. |

OOOPS.. I hit the wrong button. Anyway reputable breeders don't price gouge their clients....only GREEDERS do that. |
Never convince me acting(memorizing lines and hitting a mark), crying on cue or running around against a green screen is "hard". Let me or any of us work that hard for millions for say even four months - or be tough and say - seven months! I would not classify setting around waiting for my 12th retake as hard. I don't care if it went on for 15 hours at a stretch for weeks. Let alone when the multi-million dollar wire transfer is made to my overseas bank once filming/dubbing over! And the little wire transfers just keep coming - all my life. Give me such "hard" work for months!!! I'd rather pay a lot for a lovely, healthy, even-tempered Yorkie than $15.00 for a ticket to some of today's crummy movies where the scenery is either chewed or the acting so wooden it's actually painful. And though a little is very well done, a great deal of the CGI is a joke, no obvious a child can tell. Though some of today's movies are wonderful, no movie star should be paid the amount of money the majority make. Most of today's movies aren't worth the time of day. |
Yep south fla is the spot for these deformed teacup puppies. Check out teacupspuppiestore and also puppiesforsalesite its the same owners for both websites selling them for ridiculous amounts down here. Its disgusting. Hes a con artist. Hell give you different prices for the same dog too i checked into him and also reported him. You should see all the :celebrity customers : ya right. Im sad by this :( |

Have you ever worked in the entertainment industry? Not all in the industry are actors. There are very skilled technicians that are never known that work in the background. Nevertheless, I think this may be better off on a topic of it's own. |
I'll defend KK. No one here paid for her wedding, she supports a lotdog of needythe causes andseizures because shethe feels badworse for weatingthe fur donated a fewYorkie hindred thousand to thethe ASPCA, peesonally. Its a cheap shot and played out to mock her failed marriages. If you don't like movie theater prices wait and rent it for. 99cents or less online. If you dont like her dont watch her or support her multiple finacial industries. I get why she got married shes a romantic and I get why she got a divorce...he's emotionally abusive and controling...besides he has a yorkie and isnt a member here so pish on him! |

One instance maintains that a reputable breeder spends a great deal of time buying and setting up places for their dogs to live comfortable lives, study endlessly, research, attend all manner of functions to network and learn, learn, learn, spend endless hours being mentored, working like slaves for their mentor(:)), expend large amounts of $ buying dogs and then the rest of their lives building and maintaining a wonderful house pet relationship and then have to network very well in order to be able to breed outside their own dogs when needed, spend time/$ vetting/testing their dogs, learning all they possibly can about pregnancy/whelping/puppy care and all the basic-plus of medical care until they can stabilize enough to start to the vet, watching preg mom, vetting her prn and then if the pups can be whelped at home, hours on hours watching, helping, reviving, encouraging nursing - oh, on and on and on - I'm only touching on the tiny tad I know about. I wonder how many hours and real $ goes into breeding a Yorkie litter and then treating all the dogs like the loved little creatures they are. Not to mention the endless hours they spend emailing/talking/vetting prospective buyers - checking on their vet history and all the things, assessing their pet-worthiness not to mention their worthiness for one of her beloved pups and then the endless puppy support for life. They work like dogs producing a fine litter - and sometimes just get one - or none - litter and mom can die. Huge vet bills. I just think that if they have a quality, healthy, good-tempered dog that won't live under the couch and bite every ankle that walks by and not have a list of congenital defects a yard long, these ladies and gents should charge enough money to cover their costs, time and whatever! And, make a profit. What they do as breeders who want to produce really fine dogs for buyers who want to buy a dog from someone who treats it and its dam/sire as pets and will support me for life if I have a question or issue, should be a substantial sum of money. A few thou for all the work, money, time, angst, love and all the rest poured into their "product" should be rewarded and encouraged. Compared to the millions of dollars some of the most dysfunctional people walking this earth get for spending a few months speaking lines, dodging fake punches, hitting marks, emoting for the camera, I think a breeder who has worked hard for years establishing fine lines should ask the price they want for pet, show, whatever and her price not be discussed publicly here as if the breeder were doing something a little iffy or perhaps questionable. To me, what reputable breeders who treat their little charges with love and like a loved pet and produce wonderfully healthy, happy dogs charge should be what they feel is fair for their work and time and expense and years of expertise. Using actors' highly-paid wages and not those of the background personnel, draws a dramatic difference of what our society deems worthy and is relevant to the discussion of dogs' prices. Most people think an actor should get however much $ he can get someone to pay him, saying they wish they could do it, too! The staggering, almost indecent sums of money an actor is paid are just snickered over. Ask most people what a reputable dog breeder should get, and - well, you know exactly what people say - overpriced! Too much money! Hardly anybody says a dog breeder of fine dogs should get however much $ she can get someone to pay her! Bet you won't find one if you ask a group of people say good breeders should be able to get as much as they can for their work by people who are willing to pay it. People just put a premium on entertainment and celebrity and all that goes with it and few seem disturbed by the indecent sums of $ these folks make for a few hours or months of work. A star can get close to a million dollars for a cameo - for a day's work in a big blockbuster. When it comes to our dogs, we have no such generous feelings toward their breeders - they are seen as sort of stepping out of line if they charge what they feel they should be paid. So I felt the issue of price for anything is relevant to what the buyer places a premium on. If, rather than actors, perhaps one can consider what a singer like Justin Bieber takes as his cut for each of his songs or appearances vs. a reputable Yorkie breeder. At least what a breeder charges us doesn't affect everybody as directly as entertainers' high salaries do. The more stars make, the more it is just passed along to everyone who goes to a movie, buys a popcorn, watches a TV show, goes grocery shopping, buys gas or uses any of the commodities whose companies buy ads on the networks, subways or the internet or invest in a group that backs movie or song production. |

Yorkietalkjilly, I agree with you. I also think most (not all) so called "entertainment" in the movie industry is cheap trash....not fit to be seen, let alone heard. This is just my opinion and on a forum everyone is allowed to voice their opinion. |

She gets millions fot doing reality tv though and self promotes. I get the point you were making with reputable breeders and charging etc. Knowing what I know now. I'd only buy from a breeder who health test is chic ofa certifies show me their dogs are all well cared for they offercan continual contact andso support, etc ( showing would appluly I love my tricoloreds) anyways Id pay for this in the thousands rather than a dog in the few hundred equally as beautiful to me but sold by an unreputable breeder. While it is a free market some of these prices are getting ridiculous. I see your point though. |

And reputable breeders do all these things (breed, show, test, research, network) without charging ANYWHERE near 6,000+ for one of their PET QUALITY pups. |
I am just on page one but I had to stop and say YT moms are sharp!!! I looked at pics last night and came back today to read comments. After reading what some said about the eyes, I went back and wow....they all have the exact doe eyes. Like the animation cartoon eyes like Dragon Ball Z (all sons). You guys don't miss a trick. |
Wow how this this thread turn into attacks on reputable breeders?! Someone on here seems to have a bug up their azz about something or the other...I had to go back and re-read this entire thread cuz i thought I missed something. What yorkiemom1 got for her pups '6years' ago is no-ones buisness but her own!!! Geez can we get back to what the real issue is here ppl??? |

This is why it has been stated time and time again 'buy your breeder first'. There are some not so reputable breeders on this forum, if i could I would buy from yorkiemom1 in a heartbeat. Alas I live in Canada so it isn't possible for me....IMO she is one of the more reputable and knowledgeable on here. The way this thread turned was un-necessary. |

I think some people think they are the know all and be all, and have really taken this thread to a whole different degree. Now I need to go wipe my feet. |
I was trying to find YouTube videos of Royal so I googled and wow! Google is gangsta. It tells all. Ripoff reports, complaints, a BAN facebook page Someone did complain the babies are from Korea. I wanted to see if the videos looked anything like the pics. But haven't found anything yet. Enjoy your Sunday and enjoy your babies because this is what those that are seeking a new baby are up against. I never knew the puppy business was this way so actually...a good breeder ilinotype their weight in gold. By the grace of God neither of my fur babies ever got sick but I do now understand that how the breeder cares for babies impacts their well being same as genetics. We fall in love on sight and forget for a minute that we take home any issues with the baby for life. You guys were right, you have to buy the breeder. |

I had to check to see if I had jumped threads. I just disregarded that XTRA part. I was hoping to see more on the OP. it was strange how it switched. Off to read up on a royal Teacups so I know more of what to avoid in my ongoing search for my baby. I don't want show dog or breeder, just healthy and happy. Have a great day |

And then I added my own opinion of certain posters on this thread, that just keep dragging things through the mud, thus why I had to go wipe my feet. LOL |

I quoted because we were thinking the same thing. Then I went on talking. Lol. I'm that way in real life too, I skip subjects sometimes. Ha. |
