This is a woman that lives with her husband in an old run down trailer in a very small town. The grass was three foot tall, trash in the yard and the dogs are in the garage in a room approx 9x12. It looks like neither husband or wife work, if they do they must not get many hours because they are home a lot. Very dirty looking trailer.

Just posted a warning on FB Breeders and Exhibitors page

I wish I knew what could be done to stop this kind of thing. It saddens and sickens me.

I signed the guest book.
It says message will appear after approval from webmaster. Let's see if it's approved.

Until & if there are better laws, just spread the word. Even then, it wouldn't stop it completely or even by half, probably. Most people just don't know any different & think the tinies are darling & want them. Until enough people have enough problems with their tiny babies that there is more knowledge spread around about the special problems that come with them & how they must sometimes suffer because of it - or some important news program does an expose on network TV that the morning & evening news shows pick up on or something, the public will keep buying from breeders like this in droves.

So keep telling one & all in the office, at church, parties, family gatherings, at the grocery or wherever the conversation of dogs comes up.

Forums like YorkieTalk do a great job of pointing out the horrors of breeders like this & many of the dogs that they produce for any that get online & care to read about it - but we can't reach a big, big audience fast. Still, one BYB slowed down or one puppy saved by a greeder deciding not to breed a dog for whatever reason or a prospective buyer turned off by what they learn is a pretty good day's work!

I just wish there was a law to stop this kind of thing.
I think more of this needs to happen:

What about posting photos showing what their home looked like? If I were considering buying a puppy from her, and saw that run down mess, I would never want a pup from her.

Would that action hold the poster liable for some type of civil or legal action by the breeder? As long as the poster was aware of the possible financial implications or other pushback they might face, it would be something to consider.

Ditto. Now I don't care what the house looked like as long as simple maintance was kept up. Like Being clean. And dogs had plenty of indoor space. JMO

One of my biggest concerns is that she is breeding dogs that are 3lbs. Claims her vet gave her the go ahead. I cannot imagine breeding a dog that size. They are high risk for c-sections and complications. In my opinion you are taking too big of a risk with your dog and can you imagine the size of the puppies? When dogs are born to be this small you have so many issues with them. Their teeth falling out due to their bone structure being too fine. Bones that break very easily. The list go's on and on.

jrsygal37 07-04-2012 06:55 PM

I went to the sight but can't find the guess book to write in.

jrsygal37 07-04-2012 07:00 PM

Ahh found it. I signed it but it won't be published. It's pending the owner's approval. Of course it is. Pick and choose what you want published.

MamaZiggy 07-05-2012 04:27 PM

this is so sad, honestly. I don't see how one could do this. But I guess if we humans are still hurting other humans, what hope is there for doggies?!

First of all.... I am sorry my trailer is not a beautiful mansion. We live in what we can afford. The inside is clean. I can't help what the outside looks like. My husband has been disabled for 12 years. He is 70 years old. He would like to be able to keep the outside up. But he has a deteriorating heart, a pace make with a defibulator. He just had tests to see if his heart would stand an operation to fix his valve frame. The dr said his heart was too deteriorated. I have back problems and arthritis in my knee. Taking care of him and the dogs leave little time to pull weeks. You are right... neither one of us work. Not much chance of that in this economy so we live off SS and what the dogs bring in. I do not have all the dogs that are on my site. Several of them belong to a friend of mine. I help him sell his puppies. But that is really none of your business... the room that is built into the garage is 12 by 16... cindi is a little off on her measurments.. but the fact that she knows there is a room in my garage just shows that she was trespassing since she didn't bother to come to the door to ask to see my dogs. The dogs have access to the garage and the trailer. Most of the time they are in the trailer with me... puppies are in the trailer. The room has a tv, AC, heater, xbox and 2 computers. I am out there a lot. It is not a kennel.. the dogs have access to it so they can be with me when I am out there. I am not planning on breeding Miley... even though cindi has told you I am. Maggie has been bred she had absolutely NO problem having puppies... All my dogs that I breed are free whelpers. Mackie had a c section and has not had puppies since. She is the ONLY dog that the Vet in Marshall has performed a c-section on. The only other dog that has ever had a c section was 6 pound JoJo... after her c section I gave her to some people for a pet. She will no longer have puppies. Most of my females are almost 4 pounds and over... Miley has gained a lot since I got her.. she is now close to 4 pounds. My dogs are my babies. If any of them have to have a c section their breeding days will be over. I know you all are dead set against breeding small females.. but my males are 2 pounds 2 oz and 2 pounds 10 oz. The throw very small puppies. My vet has told me that breeding my small females is ok as long as I use my small males. My males are out of small stock. Probably years ago people were attacking the breeders that were breeding 6 pound females... the yorkies are evolving into a smaller dog.. that's how it goes... large dogs are bred to make even bigger dogs. small ones are bred down to make smaller ones. I am sorry that you find my breeding practices so offensive. I take good care of my dogs. Don't let the outside of my trailer fool you into thinking I don't care about my dogs. I keep them brushed and bathed. They are well fed and watered. They have their shots, heartworm prev and flea control.. they don't live in cages. They have access to me all the time I am home... Some of them sleep with me... I would let them all in my bed but there just isn't room for all of them. I think Cindi's main problem it that I wouldn't sell miley to her. So she decided to attack. As far as Tanisha goes. She has never bought a puppy off of me. EVER. I have never met her. She friended me on facebook and we have talked. I only know what she has told me. I was going to make a website and she surprised me with the one I have. I thought it was very nice of her to make me one. I have seen where you bashed her on another thread. I don't know what all is true and what is not. I do know that she has always been nice to me. Now you all can ban me or crucify me... your choice. I doubt that I will be back.

Not here to bash you, but I wish there was another way for you and your husband to support yourselves without breeding period. You clearly do not know how to breed.

CindyP812 07-23-2012 05:55 AM

This woman lives close by a restaurant that I frequently go to, so I could not help but notice the appearance of her place. The grass was 3 foot tall the last time we were by and there was so much trash in the yard you could not get a mower in between all that stuff for someone to mow.I was told by a person who had been to her place about her keeping her dogs in the garage and apparently it is true by her own account. Maggie was bragging on Facebook about breeding Miley 3.2oz. I was horrified when I saw this and tried to talk her out of breeding such small dogs by emails. She promised me that if the vet told her this dog was too small to breed that she would sell her to me. I have no need for another dog right now but was willing to buy this dog to save it from her risking it's life for her to make money from. I even offered her $500.00 over whatever she paid for it, not knowing that amount. She visited the vet and told me to call him, he was expecting my call and I was told by the vet that she only asked if it was medically safe for the dog to have a c-section and he replied yes however she did not ask him if he would breed a dog this size and what he thought about the breeding of dogs this size and this particular dogs risk. He told me that dogs this size have more problems with genetics, liver shunts, dental issues, reactions to anesthesia and broken bones etc. He told me that he go's along with her because he feels that at least she will bring the dogs to him and they will get medical care. He promised me that day he would call Maggie on the phone to clarify his position on her breeding program and his position on the breeding of these small dogs. Now I see on her website that within the last 24 hours she has changed the weights on some of her females and is now listing them as belonging to someone else. I am not out to bash anyone however I feel it is wrong to breed dogs this small knowing they are at higher risk to make a few $$. The pups are more likely to have problems and the new owners will pay for this. It is sad that she and her husband suffer health issues but raising tiny dogs to pay your bills is not a good ideal.

Expose her! Her site makes me sick. She does not have a clue about breeding and is just supporting her and her husband.

On another note, you can be poor and clean. Living in filth is not an option.

manolos mom 07-23-2012 06:30 AM

Precious looks so scared in that mans arms. :(

CindyP812 07-23-2012 06:51 AM

She does look scared, like a typical puppy mill dog. So sad for all of them.

CindyP812 07-23-2012 06:53 AM

You can also be poor and do the right things.

LunasMomma 07-23-2012 12:05 PM

If you are too disabled to care for your property, then how do you give proper care and cleaning to the dog's area? Seriously, it's time to knock it off. You're turning out sickly pups and making the lives of your "breeding stock" much more difficult than it should be for companion animals. They are not pigs or chickens or cows:mad:!!!!

CindyP812 07-23-2012 02:44 PM

Another thing that concerns me is since she is breeding high risk dogs for c-sections, what if she cannot afford to pay for them to get the surgery? When you live on that tight of a budget that you need money from breeding to survive on then what if one of these 3lb dogs get in trouble? Would she wait longer to take it to the vet worrying over the amount of money it will cost her?

Exactly! She can't afford to pay someone to come clean the yard and mow the grass? How can she afford vet bills?

Someone new (& more deserving) to crucify....

Now this is truly sad! Much worse than breeding a 2 pound sire to a 3 pound dam....
