How are things going?...hoping all is well, thinking of you. |
Hallo All, I am so sorry that I havent been posting here as regilarly as I will like. Things have been REALLY tough this last two days. Tamishia (now Miracle) have come up with gas. Within an hour or so her tummy was so bloated and hard and she had problems breathing. Needless to say we chased to the vet immediately. At the vet, without checking anything like breathing or heartbeat, they told me she has milk in her lungs, due to me tube feeding her almost an hour before. They said she was gonna die and I should put her out to put her out of her misery. They did not even want to probably diagnose. I rushed to another vet, this vet everybody always told me not to go to as she had a bad reputation. But she was my last outcome. AND have I not listened to rumours, I would have saved Miracles live from the BEGINNING uggh.... So this vet is really putting EVERYTHING in to help me Miracle is on a oxygen tank, and her breathing has returned to normal. Now we are slowly putting her back on food. I fear because she had not pooped yet and tummy feels a bit bloated again. :( I needed to read this as I really need it tonight. Thank you all for so much care and kind words. |
I must add, I am so proud of Miracle! She is a little fighter and has not given up once. Vet said lungs and heart are good, now we need to know about intestines. We will NOT give up until she decides she wants to give up |
I'm so sorry things have taken a bit of a turn for you, hopefully this new vet can help you. I pray for a positive outcome...how are the other puppies? I think of you and "Miracle" often. |
This is one of the hardest parts of breeding. I hope she is able to rally and make it through this! |

I am sorry to say but little Tamishia (Miracle) has passed on to Rainbow bridge. I wish I couldve done more for this little angle. She was sooo beautiful. |
You beat all the odds with what you did for this baby Talida....I think there had to have been a malformed digestive tract that prevented her from passing food through her system...she would not have possibly lived with something like that. You worked tirelessly and was soooo determined to give that baby every chance you possibly could, and that you did! I am so very sorry you were not able to keep her alive any longer, but she just could not hold on any longer and she has gone to wait for you at Rainbow Bridge.....Please try to post a picture of her...she deserves a salute from all of us for fighting such a good fight! |
Very sad news, but sounds like something else was going on like Yorkiemom1 said. I would love for you to post a picture as I had grown"attached" as well. I am sorry she didn't make it, but Talida you did everything right. |
I'm so sorry:unlove: You worked tirelessly to give that baby every chance to make it, and her passing is certainly not due to you not doing enough! Thinking of you and your little Miracle. |
Bless your heart Talida, I'm so sorry for your loss. :( Please know in your heart you did everything you could have possibly done for this little one. RIP little Miracle. |
Miracle I know a lot of breeders tube feed but that has always been my worry and I just try to stick with a dropper and do it slowly and even then sometimes the pups wind up with "Mechanical Pneumonia" and I loose them. When a puppy is that small you just never know if there is an internal problem and you will loose out in spite of your best efforts. Just know you did your best and gave her a lot of love. I hate to say it, but that is part of the heartbreak in breeding. Just feel good about your efforts and know that a lot of people would not have done half of what you did. |
