Create a thread and ask people who they refer-then wait and see what happens. In the General Section. Buy the breeder not your dog. You said Biewer but is there a specific reason-like you want a Yorkie originating fro the Biewer's line, undocked tail-? Anyways ask here and get referrals from here however be leery all the same Yorkie Talk doesn't endorse any of the ad in the for sale section, nor should you respond to private messages, trust me if someone says something in private verses public there's usually a reason. Can't wait to read about your journey. Here's just my 2 cents on Biewers: Personally I don't have any interest in getting a Biewer from many of their breeders after seeing the issues in all Biewer to Biewer & line breeding the genetics aren't there even in cross country matching-they are too inbred leading to a decline IMHO. I prefer to get Parti Yorkies, you can always find a breeder who doesn't dock tails or ask them not to or from a Biewer breeder who brings in Parti Yorkie genetics, which is also limited and which is why standards are bred in to parti line... I also would never support a registration program other than AKC. It's only Tricolored Yorkies for me, that are AKC registered. However I'm very different from many members here who have beautiful Biewers they keep or breed and they feel drastically otherwise from me. Good luck,:) looking forward to reading about your journey. |

Parti Yorkies In Canada----Pixie Dust Yorkies - PARTI YORKSHIRE TERRIER CLUB I don't endorse or know anything about, but just searched and found this site might get some info here. Yorkshire Terrier - Canada's Guide to Dogs the above site is really taking the ytca stance in canada but it is very informative. Hope it's a start...Yorkie talk is world wide lots of Canadian members here too. |

Excellent links You might also visit the Yorkshire Terrier Club of Canada's website. If you contact one of the board members they might know of a Parti Breeder here in Ontario that is reputable. |
i just checked the web site and it looks like the only parti breeders in Canada are in Alberta! not one in Ontario, and there are only two breeders in all of Canada? I was leaning toward breny here on yt....is it me or is Michigan waaaay closer to Ontario than Calgary Alberta? You would think i would know this considering i was raised here...in my defence the only other place in canada i have visited is british columbia.... |

I know parti's are not breed standard but gosh they are beautiful little babies too. I love my traditionals but would not say not to a Parti girl lol. |
I have noticed a little difference between CYTA and YTCA...the CYTA seems more open to partis just they also feel they are not show quality, the YTCA seems to go a bit further recommending breeders end such lines and never breed even great dogs with the only fault being color, while the CYTA only talks about understanding standard colored dogs may be carriers and a breeder should be aware of such. However just as Lorrine said those who strictly breed partis are looked down on for their breeding...I disagree but that's how it is...and to be perfectly honest OP BE CAREFUL! IMHO 90% of Parti breeders if not more are BYB greeders, and otherwise have poorly bred dogs they only want to make money off of for their coloration they claim to be rare, Brenny is an excellent breeder fro what I know of her, there are several other very reputable iMHO fault color breeders on YT and they are RARE, few and far between. Best of Luck remember to research the breeder on here, if they are truly reputable they won't mind a buyer sharing all details etc and hopefully would be or want to be a member here. |
