Waiting!!! Its been 66 days since the first tie!!!!!!! UGGG!!!! longest Princess has gone. May have caught her too early. She has almost silent heats which are difficult to catch. Had xrays at day 55 and again yesterday at day 64. Both show two pups. If she does not drop soon ill have to bring her back in tomorrow for another visit. :confused: Praying for her to go soon so she can deliver on her own. Just wanted to share my anxiety. |
OMG, girl, give that girl some Red Rabsberry leaf tea... I give it to my girls after day 60 for a smooth whelping, have not failed me yet.. sending prayers for a fast and safe whelping... |

I hope it all happens soon. I remember when my cat was pregnant that nervous waiting for her to go. She wasnt in any hurry and she looked like the goodyear blimp there was just no more room for her to get any bigger. She did go though when she was ready and I wasnt watching her because I was asleep. She had 5 healthy kittens and she must have did a good job because they are a year and a half now and none of them have had any health problems. They were all super cute too. I hope you dont mind me sharing my waiting whelping story even though it was a cat. Hopefully yours goes soon and all goes well |
Well her temp dropped about 9 last night. she is panting and nesting:) hope she can get these babies out and soon too . They are both breach!!! :eek: Got my lube ready! one looks a bit chubby hoping he/she does not get stuck in the door. |
OMG, best of luck to you remember to have the hair dryer close too in case the babies need a bit or warm air.. wish you were closer I would go and give you a hand.. oh I LOVE that KY jelly... more than you can inmagine..LOL hugs, |

yes, I learned that from my mentor, sometimes with a breach baby it takes longer to come out and it gets a bit chilled and limp, so you rub with the towel and to give him a good warm to put the hair dryer in warm and warm the towel and rub him, it gets him warm and gives him a good jump. I love to have the warm towels to rub my puppies they seem to love it..LOL also do you have Nurse mate ASAP, is a great product you give it to the just born puppy is a colustrum that helps him start nursing with energy. I know i am crazy about my litters...LOL |

hey girl, how is she doing? I was not counting on going out to lunch, but my oldest son got a raise at work and he invited me to luch at Ruby Tuesday, and I LOVE their chicken quesadillas...LOL i got back a bit ago.. so just checking on you...:) and I love helping when I can.. :D |
NO news is good news? Its been a while, I wonder if she has whelped yet and how things are going? Hope all is well and she has had a smooth delivery! |

Wow! you are all so nice and caring (((hugs))) Well she was pushing for a bit over an hour, having contractions, then stoping. I gave her calsorb and continued to feather her and she kept stoping. She is so tired. My good friend is a vet and was concerned, she said to bring her in just in case she needed oxy or a c-sec. She new my concern that she was on day 67!!! and my concern of the size of the pups too. The pups feet and tip of tail crowned and she contracted and pushed for 3 hours!!! She has one girl so far. I came back home to pick up the heating pad for the car ride back home ( i have a outlet in my car) and checked in on here! Thank you for being so caring ! !!!xoxo Well back to wait on the arrival of the other pup. The ER vet believes that she may go 2 hours in between so back I go. |
Anything over 2 to 2 1/2 hours is definitely cause for concern. Glad you got her into the vet and hope for good results with the next pup. |

Congrats on the little female; so glad she came out alright. Three hours of pushing is a long time! Sending prayers & well wishes for a safe delivery of puppy #2. |
Well i have them home and puppy #1 does not look well. I called the vet to see if she just nursed and if she is just tired and they said that she nursed some but did not look as strong as #2. #1 has labored breathing and not nursing with stimulation and seems not very responsive. Trying secreting from mom and stimulating pup but may have been stuck too long from the labor. Looks like 50/ 50 for the night. #2 is nursing and is responsive. |
that is what Nursemaid ASAP is for, keep him warm and make sure he nurses, he needs the colustrum to get stronger, I never have a litter without a tube of the stuff.. so sorry you are going thru this.. |
dont have it:( im squeezing moms into her mouth a couple of drops at a time. she is not suckeling just labored breathing. her pelvis was sitting in moms pelvis for 3 hours!! vet thinks that she may have brain damage or could be exhaused. ill see in another hour. Thank you for your knowledge |
Oh, I am so sorry to see that the first puppy is having trouble. Three hours in the canal is a very long time; but hoping she will pull through. I know it is tough to see these little pups struggle.......sending prayers. |
Girl #1 did not make it. She was unresponsive from taking her home and stopped breathing shortly after:cry: |
