Ok i have been looking at different breeders in fort lauderdale-miami fl area i have came across four different website yorkiebabies.com(bad reviews) floridayorkiebreeders.net(kind of seem fishy to me) myra toypuppies.com(bad and good dont know what to belive because her son claim someone is making it up but others say she show pictures of the puppies parents that not even at the house) and finally seasideyorkies.com(witch i know to stay from after i read what my fellow yorkie lovers said on yorkietalk.com about this company. So my question is do any body know a honest breeder in the south fl area that have good reviews and who wouldnt dare sell a sick puppy.

Ps-im so glad i been doing my research on breeders so i want pay so much money on a dog then to find out later that they sold me a sick pup thanks yt!:)

I do not know any breeders personally in FL; but have you checked the YTCA breeder contact page?
Continue in your research :thumbup: and good luck finding your puppy! :D

Bingo!

I think if your main concern is health and conformation, try to work with an exhibitor that is breeding FOR THEMSELVES. If they are breeding to improve their own line and trying to breed their next champion doesn't it make sense that any puppy they place in a pet home will be healthy and an excellent example of the Yorkie standard? And, BTW, YorkieRose's willingness to help you is invaluable. Not all exhibitors will do so.

I am so sorry you are having such a hard time finding the right match. I do want to commend you on doing your research! This site is so informative and helpful! I know of tons of mistakes I made now in hindsight. I just pray that my baby continues to stay healthy! The best thing that could have come from me joining this website is that I now know what to do (and not to do) in the future. That right there will probably prevent me years of grief, and save me a ton of money in the long run! Good luck! :)

I have a 14 month old.. so I am not ready for another pup YET.... but next time I want to really research and get a pup from the right breeder.

Thank u so much for that information doing this research is pretty fun because i been doing my research for 4 days now and everyday i learn something new :)

I thought I was looking at the AKC web site...does AKC permit the use of their logo to be used willy nilly...

Thank you! I wanted to ask the same question. This breeder's website has not only the AKC logo but the Eukaneuba logo as well! I wondered if this is supposed to convince site visitors that they reputable/knowledgeable or are involved in the show world?? Could be very deceiving.

The AKC and Eukaneuba logo's are Registered, no one has the right to use them without their permission.

That aside....the website of this breeder is so telling.....pictures of dogs being used not owned by them. Advertising show quality dogs.....and stating the breed to standard breeding 3 lb to 4.5 pound dogs......

You know, I just realized - AGAIN - how naive I can be. It didn't even occur to me that the photos are of dogs they don't own. I did notice that there are several pages that have plagiarized text. It's obvious because most of the verbiage on the site is written in broken or poor English, like the author is foreign. And then there are these clearly written, professional descriptions of the breed.

Not sure if this website is owned by the poster that someone else eluded to being an the ownner of the Blessed yorkie website. However, I went back on all the posts by isailiss; and she is a breeder.

As the page was loading - and I also did a google search after noticing this - at the bottom of the screen where it shows the "path" loading it said "http:/web.mac/isaillis/blessedyorkies.com"

Sent up a big red flag:)

I didn't realize that I was probably snubbed by my breeder. I was in great shock when I ask for a picture of Josie's Mom and Dad to put in her photo album when Josie turned one. She told me she doesn't own those dogs and wasn't sure where they are now. One may be in NC and the other may have went to Hawaii. I know more now than I did when I purchased Josie, so I will be more informed when I get another one.

You are too good....You need to join up with Megansmomma and Bamafan....the 2 master sluets.

There are so many tricks that people use to sell their pups, it's absolutely amazing.....Some just have their website in their signature; when someone is looking for a pup all they do is go in and post, Good Luck In Your Search.....Some others only come on late at night and follow newbie posts that are looking for pups, usually both of these methods are to get around the 10 week minimum advertisement rule.

Oh my. She has a post saying that 3 out of 5 of her Yorkies have luxating patellas. I truly hope these aren't the dogs she's using for breeding.

Looks like......according to her posts her pups were just pets....then all of a sudden she's breeding.....sound familiar?

Yes, I looked at a couple of her posts and saw that she just started breeding and with her first litter didn't even know how to instruct the vet to dock the tails. Wouldn't that be covered in "dog breeding 101" had she really done any research and had a real mentor??

You know so many start out this way.....sad, but they do at the expense of the pups.

Just recently she asked about taping ears......I can only pray that she is knowledgable in how to place the pups in a qualified home. However, based on how casaul she states she has pups for sale.....well I guess not.

Yea, that's a stretch I can't make either. Among other things, she may want to check out the AKC website about copyright infringement (hint*hint isailliss):

Thanks Pat, I knew I recognized the dog but, couldn't place it. Stealing pictures off the internet is a no no....most of those pictures are taken by professionals and have copywrite infringement associated with them.

This person has been careful not to post the whelp dates of these pups on her website or post them here.

YT has rules and regulations on when pups can be offerred up for sale....as well as other criteria that must be met.....
