If I hadn't come in at the tail end when the situation was more clear, I too, would have questioned why no one was taking the poor pup to the vet! I know everyone was just very concerned for the pup. I was very surprised when I read the first mention of false pregnancy -- some symptoms/reactions still don't make sense.

I know some things were said by some that were innappropriatewhat is not seen now are the level of emothions at that time. However the people commenting now were not here when we were trying desperately to help this Op and praying a breeder would come on. They werent here when we were begging her to get Bailey to a vet before it was too late. They werent here when we were worrying. I dont think threats should be made but I know I cant control what someone may do. It was also insinuated the the breeders on here were responsible for degrading posts and making threats. I really doubt they go out of their way to help again as it was said your damned if you do your damned if you dont. I think this thread should die because now it just seems people are disecting the thread

It took me a while to digest what's happened.....now that I have, I'm genuinely pissed off!!

And what do we do when the next 'newbie' comes along with 'problems'? I know for me there's a limit to how far I'll stick my neck out for someone's entertainment.

I'm suspicious about the authenticity of this entire thread. If I am wrong, then please accept my apology.

What are the issues that get people riled up here? Irresponsible breeding, not seeking proper vet care, and seemingly flippant attitudes. You have it all right here in one thread from a new member. Seems like the exact recipe to brew up some trouble. The point? Sadly, I think it is just to be able to say, look how awful they are.

I don't blame breeders for not wanting to post and offer help publicly. Who wants to be set up like that?

I know you want the thread to die but I thought I would at least answer your post..... Nothing inappropriate was said until AFTER both Mardelin and Woogieman had already started posting helpful, informative posts to her so I don't think things were said out of frustration of no breeders helping yet, or even while praying a breeder showed up. In fact Mardelin was one of the first to respond to her (see post #9). So I am not sure what you mean.

I don't think anyone would take an insinuation seriouslythat the 2 helpful breeders made "degrading posts or threats." I did not see where anyone said that, but maybe I missed it or maybe it was said "off forum." Mardelin and Woogieman are both held in higher regard than anyone thinking they would do that. Mary made the "damed if you do and damed if you don't" statement before anything went awry here, It is an ongoing reality for them! I see people complain if they don't answer a cry for help within minutes, like they stay attached to the computer 24/7! Then some complain when they offer help, saying mean things and accusing them of thinking they know it all or "are the end-all" -- even when they are just trying to get a pup in front of a vet! But I know Mary loves the breed and animals in general too much to not offer to help when she can. She just rises above it all and thinks of the pup knowing she may get bashed for her efforts. I think Woogieman is made of that same sort of cloth!

I don't blame you! If this is a member tring to play games so they can make a stab.....well, I can't say what I think (I just had a week off!). But pls don't let something like this contaminate your good will. I know as I said in previous post -- you & Mary love the 4-legged animals too much to turn your backs to one possibly in need. But too many times and the wonderful compassion you have is bound to shine a little less brightly!

No I realize the posts that were harsh were because she wasnt taking Bailey to the vet. People were pretty charged up. I am not making excuses for the posts because in reality in those circumstances I wish people would be more thoughtful in their postings to see the greater need is to get the OP to see the importance of getting to the vet rather than run them off. But I can understand the emotion involved and realize that can cause peoploe to say things they otherwise wouldnt

Throughly agree with all of this, this was one of the first threads posted on the subject: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yt-...ght-labor.html, never thought at the time to ask, "Are you sure the dog is pregnant?" I have read that question before in other threads, and the reply given, was very harsh.
