omg is this temp drop??
 
Just checked my girls temp and it was 98.4. I checked it twice.

My sister has been coming over to distract her while I get the temp in the mornings. She was late coming today.

Im nail biting and wondering if this is it..

OMG sooooooo excited.

Have you been taking her temp before to get a baseline?

Yes but today is only the third day that I've been recording....Its been running 99-100.5 range. At vet last week was 100.5 if memory is serving me right.

She has really pewwwwwwwie gas. Other than that, everything else is normal...been eating good today. LOL I think I got excited prematurely.

According to my kids magic 8 ball..Saturday is the big day LOL:p

A fellow breeders girl that I have here delivered at that temp from 100.5 3 days prior so keep a close eye on her

LOL- this sounds almost more nerve wracking than waiting to give birth to skin kids.

I am. I delivered them out 2 weeks ago and they are delicious!! Mom had a very rough go and had 6 pups of which only 2 have survived and mom had an emergency spay 9 hours after delivery. Long story and lots of heartache.
I have been breeding for a combined 2o years and so the owner asked me as momma is just 5 pounds 3 ounces. I am a nurse and vet tech so I knew what to look for or would have lost momma for sure.
I wish you good blessings and keep us up to date.
PS does she have a milk line and milk?

Thats fantastic you were there for her. What an angel..

No milk can be expressed yet. Her pups have dropped and she's not carrying up high in her back anymore. Thats definately something new since yesterday.

I have had them to drop down then spike back up the next day also. Then the second drop they went. I think you will know by her behavior when it is time. I always get nervous that I am going to miss the signs but I always know. Most of mine will not eat before they get ready to go into labor.

But usually you can feel the milk line but not always get milk out. She should be spending more time near her box and some do this hiding thing. Try to fit under things that they definately cannot fit under :rolleyes: but do it anyway. Other signs are the typical going off their food, digging in the box, restlessness. Most human mommas see the signs but some furkids like to sneak and try to do it without us.

I dont think it will be tonight. She does have a milk line. She has spent all day in the nursery crate I made her, but she's not wandering around or anything--just resting. She's still eating and isnt restless at all.

I think its safe to say it wont be tonight, but if anything changes I'll let you know. I'll take her temp tonight and post what it is. Im really gonna laugh if my sons magic 8 ball was right LOL

She's doing great. Her temp this a.m. was 98.9. She has eaten well today and sleeping.

My nerves seem calmer. I think I'm becoming numb to "omg is this it" that when its really time, I think my nerves will be just fine.

She's doing great. I've checked her temp again and it was 99.1. I told myself I wouldnt obcess and put my girl through compulsive temp checks just to satisfy my curiousity, but I cheated and checked again :D

LOL poor thing...she's gonna start running from me. I've checked 3 times today..but as her due date draws close I want as much of an advanced notice as possible.

I pray she has her babies before my husband leaves for MD on Monday. :hands::hands::hands:

yes indeed. She's not interested in her food and her temp just now was 97.9. Her temp has been playing games with me, BUT this is the first time she's turned her nose up to her food. I'm gonna give her some nutrical and check her temp again just to be certain.

Okay, just checked her temp and its at 99.2 now. I dont know why its doing this to me LOL. She's still not eating though. I'll definately keep ya'll posted.

This temp roller coaster is gonna drive me crazy.

The magic 8 ball LIED! haha.

I got her to take a bite of food....but she's still turning her nose up..even to cheese and she normally loves cheese.

Since hubby is leaving early monday morning, my sister is gonna spend the night sunday night so one of us can take him to the airport and someone will still stay with her.

Just did final p.m. temp tonight and its 97.9 again. I think she's really close to labor--just taking her sweet time.

Real Men of Genious really need to write a budweiser song about this!

My girl is staying in her crate this morning. She comes out to get me if I sit at my computer, 2 feet away. She's still not eating, but I have gotten her to drink. Im still giving her nutrical. She's licking her rear (which she normally doesnt)...and she was so wrapped up in her rear that someone came to the door and she barked while licking LOL.

I just know this is the day when she doesnt pull her head away from her rear to bark at the door. She's also been digging around in her crate. No panting yet and no pushing. I think she's in very early stages.

I'm going to make myself at home on the floor next to her now. I will post updates when I can.
