The first two yorkie show breeders I ever met were also the two biggest wenches I ever met. They bad mouthed every yorkie person who was not in sight but were sugar-sweet to everyone when face-to-face. Almost (but not quite) sent me running for cover forever. I thought if all dog show people were like this, I wanted nothing to do with it. Since then, I have met some of the most wonderful people ever. I have to say, I prefer those that say it like it is, rather than that couple of two-timing, back-stabbing b%^$^#. Donna, just continue to be Donna, I don't know you at all, but I like what I read and I respect you a lot. |
Donna, I would so love to meet you, I have had to curb my bluntness because I was always being Chastised for hurting peoples feelings. I so understand. Like Mary I to heard rumours being spread about a breeder I had become aquainted with and after having to constantly hear this person being maligned I asked her. She let me know the situation and I found the rumours to be unfounded and have since distanced myself from the originator of the rumours. The breeder that was being talked about is now a very good friend and has helped me tremendously with breeding and showing. "My grandaddy used to tell me to never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes." |
Yeah, wait just a minute...I thought I was the blunt, rude and insensitive one in the group..LOL I posted about designer breeds on another forum...I did get on my soap box a bit! A member posted and asked who died and made me "Queen of the Yorkies"..I love that title. We are all going to be talked about...I always say you are somebody when they talk about you... |

Mary, do you remember the post long ago about the member who rubbed their Yorkies nose in pee to make it stop...as I recall I said if I was the dog I would bite their butt...didn't quite use the word BUTT...LOL |

The reason for the thread is this....Just before you pre-judge because something didn't go your way, or something was said you didn't like, or things wasn't done according to how one thought it should go don't presume to think it's always like that unless you actually asked why it was that way, or why it was said ect....Yes, I can be a biatch, rude sometimes, insenstive according to some but remember there is a reason behind the way I am. I'm not just this way for the heck of it...if I say something like, I don't like that yorkie in the show ring, or that's incorrect or I don't like that person or this person I have reasons and usually it's a pretty darn good one unless I made a mistake and of course then I admit the mistake was made and correct it. I have a close circle of friends and they know I speak my mind and always will. No need to sugar coat anything....I did that for many years and was walked on by doing so. At least if I have something to say I say it and it's up front, if that is a fault so be it. It's my fault and if you can't live with it move on but let me assure that we all at some point say things we shouldn't but be a big person and own up to it! If one thing I've learned in my personal life and outside life is, no one will take care of me but me! |

I sure hope so. I try not to judge people by the first impression only because I don't know them, I try to get to know them and then base my impression from that. Anyway with that being said I look forward to meeting you and whoever else will be in New York . |

I don't backstab I say it to ones face if anything! I am nice to those I don't like ringside or on show grounds because it's the professional thing to do. I've been called worse than a wench LOL but oh well it doesn't bother me. I've grown a heart of steel for the most part at least in the dog show world. Stick with it girl there are wenches in every aspect of life :) Donna |

Beyond true. I always say it's not gossip if you will repeat that to the person you are talking abouts face. Also sweep your own doorstep before you worry about others. It can be very harsh and cruel in the dog show world and OMG the horse world is awful how daggers are slung. I work in a very much male dominated world that horrible rumors can be cast and I always hope one gets to know me before they judge my sins or what they think are sins. Honesty is always the best! |
By the by I didn't mean for that to come off as harsh as that did, just repeating my thoughts.... |
I look forward to meeting you also, I will definitely look for you and say hi. |
