Thank you! IM so happy with her and she is such a sweetie... Id do anything I can to make sure she is healthy and happy for the rest of her life. I have alot of love to give and who better to have it then a sweet lil baby like Gracie!

Wow it amazes me what some people can do...sad..

I am glad your taking her into the vet. Maybe you can ask him about a mentor in the area that can help you.

I can't believe some people - letting a dog get into such bad condition is just plain LAZY and selfish - she's obviously in the 'breeding biz' for the $$$$ and not because she loves dogs. Sadder is ...there's too many out there just like her

at 4 lbs and skinny - for her sake and yours I hope she isn't pregnant.

Thank you. She is perky this morning and ready for me to brush her out and take her to work with me.

Thank you! I am so glad I joined this site as everyone seems to show as much love and caring as I have for her. I will let everyone know whats up with Gracie soon as I know.Thank you again!

Im glad to take her along and she gets told how pretty she is everyday by all the residents. She just doesnt like to leave her little bow in her hair.lol

I will .. Tomorrow morning before leave for work Ill be callin the vet. My vat is a nice man and Ive never had a real issue with him except when he declawed my kitty and now he has 3 legs..I guess the wraps cut his blood flow and his foot died..was awful!

I've heard of a couple of dogs that that has happened to. The bandages cutting off the circulation and the blood flow....

I will be waiting anxiously to hear from you after your vet visit. You have my number and e-mail already.

Tiffany, Thank God for you to be able to help Gracie live a life full of love. You have the best people here to help you...I wouldn't hesitate to take advice from them. I hope Gracie isn't pregnant but if she is you will be guided by these wonderful people.

It's so great that you can take her with you to work! Bet the people there just love her!

I'm so glad your story made it's way over to this section! You are in great hands with Woogie and Mardelin. Keep us posted on what happens with the vet. And tell Gracie she has lots of people thinking about her.

The vet I see has 26 yrs in and doesnt ever plan to retire. Yes he does and he is well liked here in town..I live in a very small place and everyone here as something to say about everyone else but he has a very good rep here. Thats why I chose him and why he takes care of all my animals.Im sure he will be livid when I tell him how I got Gracie. I will post how the visit goes.

alot of people believe small dogs are mean and snappy.. Gracie has made a fan club here at work..and Im glad she is able to come..shes a calm lil girl and I see smiles on so many peoples faces that are normally sad.

Gracie is a beautiful girl, and I'm glad she has you! I can't believe the situation this so-called breeder put you in. But, you've been given great advice and many good breeders to help you! At least this way, Gracie is with you, where she is loved and not with her.
I might add to the supply list, "when and if" you need them:

K-Y Jelly
vinyl gloves
paper towels
3 cc syringes (without needles)
2 hemastats (I've seen these at Walmart in the fishing aisle in sporting goods)
heat lamp or heating pad (one that doesn't turn off automatically)

I'm anxious to hear about your Vet check!

Ok thank you! I was looking in her mouth today and looks like she has some really rotten back teeth.. I checked them because her breath was like ... bad..very very bad!Im just seeing more and more neglect. I am worried Im not going to have the money for this lil dog to get all she needs. Guess its time I look for a second job. I work seven days a week now.Uggh.I am glad I have Gracie and I hope the SPCA takes all her dogs away.

Take a step at a time. If she's pregnant, you won't be able to have any dental work done right now anyway. And if she isn't pregnant, well then you can afford the dental work.

yeah..I just wish I could fix everything for her right now.. Im like that..I want to make everything and everyone happy and fix it all! BTW, I weighed Gracie today and she is now five lbs.. I just got her friday and she was only 4 lbs .

No, remember she may be pregnant and they do gain weight the last 3 weeks.

She will eventually be spayed pregnant or not and the dental can be done at the time of the spay. This will save you quite a bit of money having both done at the same time.

Ok good! Shes a good dog..One of the residents where i work tried giving her a potatoe chip behind my back and she stepped away.. She didnt want any part of it LOL

I'm just getting online. So if this is covered, ignore it. I saw the post about her gaining so much and it makes me sad. If she is pregnant or not she should be reported. That little girl was starving! You can feel ribs on lots of yorkies and it's ok. But the rest is unacceptable.

Because the lady is more concerned with feeding herself than feeding Gracie I would not trust one thing she said! Including dates she was bred. I'm hoping she's going to the vet tomorrow. I haven't read that far yet. So glad you got her out of that place.

I did turn her in. I would have been rotten not to. I am calling the vet first thing they open in the morning..8am. I am now feeding her IAMS wet and dry Puppy food and cottage cheese and making her scrambled eggs in the morning as I was told by someone on here.

You've been given good advice. I'd start giving her Natural Balance Rolls, pregnant or not she needs healthy food coming in. She will like it and it's easy. It will give an upset tummy like anything if she eats too much in one setting. She will eat the whole pack if permitted.

I'm anxious to know how much she should weight. That was a day and a half. Even if she's thrilled to have canned food, she wasn't being fed. Most yorkies don't go into a new home rushing for the food dish. They're often slow to start.

Gracie had no way to feed herself. People like that don't deserve these precious beings.

Ok..Ill change the food when I get paid.. Right now I have a ton of this IAMs cuz I thought it was very good for dogs. I will let U know what the vet says about her weight and all soon as I can get him to see her. I will call him in the AM.
