| Toenail Question? All is good with Shayna! Just wanted you all to know that it's been a week since Shayna has her pups and all is good. The temp is gone, the panting is gone, the restlessness - gone. Her teets are not hot and over swollen anymore. It was a tough first 4 days, but all is better. I have her drinking 2 pints of water a day, she eats at least 4x per day, finally got a grip on the runs, with a small amount of pumpkin (which she dislikes) and rice. I have her on calcium and supplements, great food (Core) and all is good. The pups are steadly gaining and have doubled their weight since birth. Shayna is a wonderful mom, attentive and a super cleaner and milk machine. I do thank all of you for your advice and help, I wouldn't have made it through without you (even though you may have thought I wasn't listening, I was). One question - how the heck to you trim tinnie tiny toenails you can hardly see? Do I need a magnifying glass? |

| Well they are no better then their mom on the toe nail clipping thing. After the front, all I go was squirming and whinning. Used my closeup glasses, but still feel like I need a magnifying glass. I survived (hate toenail clippping). I try the wet approach next time. Thanks |
