She is 58 days now so I was waiting since day 55..:) Mucus plug signs i am not sure of. When I took her temp I used ky gel and it seemed what came off from it was a lot so it could have been mucus plug. She is licking her teats a lot, She cant reach her vulva but im not sure if its ok for her to do this. The panting has slowed down a little but it is still goin to be a long night!!!! It is exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time..:eek: oh yes, she is trying to reach her vulva now..uh ohhh :) Quote:

labour sounds like she's in labour if the temp is below 101 degress i think she's in labour and heavy panting is another sign she should have the pups with in 48hrs someone told me gl and let us know |

Under 101 does not mean labor. My girls baseline temp right now is 100 at 52 days. If you take it regular you should see a little drop, then spike back up and then drop down under 99. I guess everyones thermomator is different but I see 98 or 97.9 when they start going in. panting, digging, shaking,trying to hide, not wanting you to leave her, licking herself alot are all other signs. |

Howdy! Here is Rafael at 56 days, I feel so bad because she's itching from fleas probably from the new yard we moved into about a month ago and she can't reach. No flea sprays either right? Howdy! Here is Rafael at 56 days, I feel so bad because she's itching from fleas probably from the new yard we moved into about a month ago and she can't reach. No flea sprays either right? Yup My girls baseline temp was 99.5...the night she went into labor it went to 98.2..then up 2 hours later to 99.8 then 17 hours later puppies were born.. Quote:

My Gabby should be due in the last week of June. She is only 3 1/2 weeks pregnant. Her and my male tied on Sat. the 24th (yes, I was an accident so please don't judge me I'm here for advice because I am very nervous/anxious). I read on the web and from this post that she won't start showing until about the 5th week, which makes me feel better because I was getting worried that she hasn't put any weight on. My main concern is that I won't be able to tell when she is going into labor (and she will need a c-section). Ugh it's only the begining of the pregnancy and I am already stressing! It is both (Gabby and myself) of our first pregnancy and I'm sure my stress won't help her out any. Also, we have her on Blue Buffalo puppy food. Is that all she needs or should I give her some other things such as boiled chicken and what not? Thanks for all your help and I hope to hear updates from the "expecting" on here so I won't feel as worried! |
welcome Hello and welcome to YT. Can I say Congrats! You sound like me when I first started here. We just had OUR first litter also 2 days ago. It is very nerve wrecking and you will be a sponge with info for awhile. Read everything you can. This site helped A LOT. You will get critized by a few people but take it with a grain of salt cs then you will get your questions answered.:D Dont be afraid to ask questions. I am not a breeder but I have a 1x experience:). read all my threads if you can. I had many of the same questions you have or will have. How do you know she is pregnant? Are you getting an ultrasound to be certain? I will help as much as I can as so will some of the helpful breeders on here. Good Luck! Quote:

65 days and counting! Today is the 65th day from first breeding.... 63rd from second. Natasha went 65 days her last time too! She is SO uncomfortable! Refusing to eat anything except boiled chicken and of course, anything I may be eating at the time! She doesn't pant, but breathes very heavily with a soft groan. I've been home from work all week with her and she insists that I stare at her! :) (that doesn't include much sleep, she's been in her bin on my bed for the past two nights) I try to read and she puts her paw on the book, as if to say,..... Hello! This is about ME right?!!! I hope to see little ones soon......... :yawn: |
after long waiting, my MeiMei had 4 furbabies ( 2 boys and 2 girls) yesterday,1 day pass her due date. :D |
the little ones are here.... and boy are they NOT little!!! NaTasha had 1 boy - 6.7oz ; 2 girls - 6.2 oz. and 5.6 oz. She is only a little over 5 lbs. and I had to completely pull the boy, he was the first puppy. But he, his sisters and his Mom all appear to be doing great!!! |
