Hi all Tinkerbell is due on the 25th may this is her second litter, Last time she had 3 girls and a boy but she seems a lot bigger this time. I'll keep everyone informed Oh this site is the best so helpful so thanx everyone. |
Today is day 48 for Rafael, this is a pic of her a week ago. Will update today. How long till I feel puppies or hear heartbeats. I'm somewhat nervous cuz she's so big already... Either a few huge pups or several smaller ones, wish I could tell sooner than the xray date http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...x/a4b76c2a.jpg |

Hello, I am technically new, though I have been lurking for a while. I finally decided to join and post today. My Kiwi is due at any moment! Her first and last ties were 7 days apart, so she could be anywhere from 58 - 65 days right now. I have been listening to the puppy's heartbeat with my stethoscope, and it is such a great thing to hear. Like a little horse galloping at top speed. I am a little disappointed about the singleton because I am worried about the single pup being able to fit through, so wish us luck. Her x-ray was inconclusive; the vet said the puppy may or may not fit through. Gee thanks Doc, I could have made that guess without an x-ray ha ha. I am wondering whether or not to schedule a c section this week because with my luck she will go into labor in the dead of night, when a c section will cost me over a grand if it is needed. Thoughts? Right now I am just anxiously watching for signs of labor. She has been licking herself excessively but that doesn't mean anything because she's been doing that for about 2 weeks now. She is not digging or nesting so I assume it won't be tonight. The waiting game is what kills me! The funny thing is how un-pregnant she looks. She still looks like her usual svelte self. |

Happy also Hello, my Gezell is 51 days today. Im guessing from day 55 to 63 will come fast. I am so excited like it is my own. Her belly is sooo BIG. She has gained about 4lbs. She was expecting 7 puppies but now we are down to 6. We get an xray this friday to see how many and hopefully the Vet will tell me if a c-section is needed. This is our first litter and I am ready. I have all of my supplies and she is eating like a Queen. Im not sure she is going to like going back on her reg diet in the future. Good Luck to you all and keep us updated...:D |
Congrats to you and Gezell! I know the anticipaiton and waiting is nerve wrecking but fun! Wow four pounds I bet she is a little butter ball....Lol....Good luck and keep us posted. |

In 35 minutes (midnight ha ha) we will be anywhere from 61 to 68 days. I'm assuming it is closer to 61 days but I am definitely getting anxious now. Kiwi is still acting like her normal self. I worry because with each day her puppy gets bigger and I am a bit scared of it getting stuck on the way out, but I just have to trust that her body knows what it is doing. How are the other soon to be mommas on here? And the grandma/grandpas? :D |

Aww how exciting were on a puppy watch, only day 51 here but lastnight ladies was amazing! I busted out the stethesxope and found at least 5 seperate heartbeats! When she lays on her side at night I can see certain spots of different puppies literally move Nd wiggle in her belly and that is where I found the tic tic tic heart beats! Though I am not able to differenciate the male/female beats but it amazing! She's starting to get picky with food, so far rice scrambled eggs and baked chicken is what shell eat y'all ever feed em anything w ground beef I have tons of that... What else can I opt for |

I think we might be on puppy watch. Kiwi's temp was 99.3 earlier this morning. For the past hour or two she has been thinking she has to potty but nothing comes out. She will squat right on my carpet 5-10 times in a row but no urine, and then she comes back onto my bed with me. I have a doggy bed with a heating pad on my bed for her, and also a basket lined with blankets, and no heating pad. She won't lay in either one though. She just prefers to nap on my comforter next to me. I have a feeling it will be a long night! |
Exciting! Keep us posted. I'm afraid, Shayna will want to be on my bed too. I keep trying to put her in the whelping box, but she won't stay, it's on the floor and mommyis on the bed. What do you think! Hmmmm! |
waiting :DGezell is on her 54th day... she is miserable, poor baby. She gained 4lbs. The xray didnt help so prayers are what Im using. I cant wait to get a stethoscope so I can hear the puppies heartbeats. I feel them moving and see the ripples in her belly from them. Im so excited but worried about birth. Reading all the stories helps a lot. keep posting :) |
Hello, I cant wait to get a stethoscope to hear heartbeats tomorrow. We are on day 52..:D I feed my Gezell 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese with boiled chicken. You can add carrots, peas, or green beans to it also. Keep us updated.. Quote:

I think you should let her on your bed, if you don't mind her being there. As long as you have towels or blankets it shouldn't be a problem, she probably will feel safe next to you. Kiwi is very restless now. She keeps getting down off my bed and squatting on the floor, and now she is pacing around my room for no reason. Just pacing back and forth until she decides she wants back up on my bed to lay down. And then a few mins later she gets down again and squats/paces some more. She keeps going into my closet and under my bed so I am trying to block those off. I am so nervous! I haven't noticed any contractions just yet though. |
Starting to have a few contractions here. She is still squatting every now and then but now tensing up and raising her head to the ceiling. It's not very consistent but every 10-15 minutes she will get up and walk around and do squats while tensing up. I moved a rubbermaid box to the floor with blankets on it and she is laying in there right now, "sleeping" but she gets up every so often. My nerves are shot! I know I should not wait more than an hour after she starts pushing to call the vet but I'm not sure when to start counting?? I can't tell if she is tensing up because she is pushing or if it is just a contraction. I guess the fact that she is still resting the majority of the time means she is not in hard labor yet, right? |
I am having a panic attack! I can't even breathe. Kiwi has been pushing and pushing and nothing is happening. She is yelping and dragging herself around in pain and I think the pup is stuck and just too big to pass. We have a care credit card in case we need an emergency c-section but I am just now finding out that the vet will not let me use it because it's in my husband's name and he is hours away, out of town! I don't know what to do! I wish the vet would work with me and just charge the dang card and let my husband fax an authorization or something, or a form of ID, this is ridiculous!!! I am at a loss |
:( I tried to post an update but it says a moderator needs to approve it? I need help |
Can you try again.. whats wrong PM me if you can't post.. |
I don't know how to send a PM, she has been pushing hard for over an hour now and she is yelping and dragging her legs on the ground behind her and nothing is happening, I can feel a hard lump in her abdomen where the puppy is and it's not even close to being born. I think it is simply too big and she needs a c section right away. She is in so much pain. But now I am being informed by the emergency vet that I cannot use our credit card because it's in my husband's name (and he is out of town)!! I am at a loss, I have never felt so helpless |
It is Still not posting! I am so confused! I have no idea how to send a pm |
